When kidnappings become more frequent in Raven Brooks, Maritza Esposito has her time to shine on this investigation. Only she discovers some things that will stay in her memory for the rest of her life.
It was the next day in Raven Brooks and the disaster was not over just yet. Turns out there was an actual demise going on in this town.
Maritza: "It's wasn't her who was gone. It wasn't her who suffered the consequences. But that day, somebody did suffered those consequences and it was our friend Jeanette Miller's mother."
As Maritza lays on her bed with a black dress, her father knocks on the door. He then tells her it was time to go to the funeral where they would pay their respects to their friend. It was the least she could do and she knew the pain Jeanette felt.
Maritza: "I just hope Jeanette is alright."
After the demise, Jeanette was taken in by Brenda Yi, since before her death, she and Brenda had a sisterly bond. She couldn't be taken in by her father since he too was in heaven after a different circumstance. It was crazy when you think about it. Years ago, this Brenda had lost her daughter to a tragedy at the amusement park, now she's tasked herself to become the sole guardian of a girl who had just lost a loving figure. It was a very crazy coincidence right there when you think about it.
Brenda: "Don't worry Jeanette, I'll protect you. Things will be different for both of us."
People never seem to realize how much a person means to them until that person is lost! We take so many things for granted and never take the time to realized how much that person means to us. Whether it's family or friends, we never truly understand how much they mean. Crazy, how that works.
Finch: "It's a cold day this is."
Maritza: "Mhm."
Finch: "Brenda's words had such strong meaning whenever she's doing her speech."
Maritza: "She always does. She made a great impact on this town."
As Finch was talking about the funeral and Jeanette, Maritza's mind was focused on something else. She was very angry and wanted justice for Jeanette's loss. She knew there was evil at work, she needed to find it! Somewhere outer parts of the town, we se a factory.

Enigma: "So far I've managed to put the town into chaos, but the fear is still lacking."
The mischievous Enigma has been very busy these past days. The bread and butter was his raids of the Golden Apple Amusement Park and Factory. If it wasn't that then it was keeping up the act of being the town's best confectioner and what's crazy enough is how he was providing food to the funeral of the victim who lost her life by his scheming, yet no one in the town was aware it was him responsible for that.
Enigma: "I've gotta stay focused now and get the research done. When it's finally perfected and I have the right amount of materials needed I can then get back to dealing with the townsfolk."
We see the cloaked man unloading all sorts of parts and washing machine sized contraptions onto a conveyor belt leading to a restricted room which had no entry and visitors prohibited signs plastered on the walls.
