When kidnappings become more frequent in Raven Brooks, Maritza Esposito has her time to shine on this investigation. Only she discovers some things that will stay in her memory for the rest of her life.
(I strongly advise and suggest that you play this video as you read this chapter. Things are going to be tense and this is where we really see the Enigma pull something!)
This was not a good time for the Enigma. He was furious, but there was an unhealthy way for him to get that anger out and it was by making the town of Raven Brooks suffer by his hands. He was ready to give them some more suffering!
Enigma: "That's it! This is the last straw! I have Had it with these idiots waltzing around here and acting like morons! This time I will push my luck and raise the kidnappings! These townsfolk have overstayed their welcome! Now I am going to do away with them. Time for a test run!"

The cloaked menace places two of his devices on a table and we see them glow so bright. Visions of disaster appears in front of him, making the man chuckle.
Enigma: "I despise everything about them! Their sickening voices! Their sicken seriousness! Their stupid looks! All of it! Even their miserable offspring too! No one will know any peace and I will make sure they all suffer! Young men and maidens! Old men and children! They will not escape from me today! And it's time to bring disaster upon them!"
Outside, we see the clouds swirling around and the ravens are squawking and flying in pain, and lightning was present! Raven Brooks was about to face disaster again and there was no telling what was going to happen here.
Finch: "The last time I came here was when Trinity was laying into me about not taking photos of people making themselves look stupid in public."
Ivan: "Yeah, but you can't go waltzing in the place without thinking about the damage you can do."
Finch: "I told you, it was the lighting. It must've messed up the power."
Ivan: "Oh please, like that would explain it. The wiring here is not that accessible for the towns power supply to do this."
Without warning, the Inventor's Club gets electrocuted by the lighting, making one of the breakers overheat and cause a fire.
Finch just glares at a sheepish Ivan, then looks for the fire extinguisher. Of this was over, she could have something to make Ivan learn never to jump to conclusions like that. Suddenly, the breakers began to explode injuring the two! Soon a fire started to emerge for the box, making things worse.
Finch: "Well that's just great."
Ivan: "No!!"
As the two picked themselves up and tend to the fire. Some screaming could be heard outside as Ivan was bring out the extinguisher, Finch peaks out the window to see what was all the noise. Mr. Murtaugh was lying on the floor covered in chemicals, looking half dazed.
Finch: "Um Ivan, I'm going to need some help."
However, Ivan had bigger problems of his own. It turns out the fire extinguisher jammed up and exploded on him. The fire was still spreading, making things much worse.
