Transformers Rescue Bots - The Future

Honestly, the recruits should've been more prepared.

They were all sitting there in absolute silence.

The recruits were just waiting to have this talk start, after all, they were called when there was no class for the day. They knew it was regarding them joining the search party when completely not asked to do so and yet they still did so anyway but that was not the scariest thing, it is what Heatwave has to say about it.

Heatwave was sitting there, still a bit patched up for the injuries he received before he was rescued, holding a face of what is most likely anger at the recruits and looking near ready to say what he wanted to say.

"What exactly in the right mind made all five of you decide to go join the search party with no one's approval?!" He seemed ticked off, which was probably more than what the recruits had done since he wasn't fully back up on his pedes yet. "Listen, when I was your age, I didn't have myself a death wish!"

"With all due respect Professor Heatwave, we didn't plan on dying." Medix points out, but that does not seem to help out with the anger still held here.

"And yet going was still risky, what were you all thinking?!" Heatwave needed something better here, after all, he still feels like he needs to punish them badly for their stupid choices.

"I was thinking about what made Optimus Prime late for the search party." Hot Shot says, making the other recruits agree but find that the answer given was not the best.

Heatwave just stares, partially questioning what in the world was running through Hot Shot's mind when that had been said. The red bot did not exactly want to know if that was the excuse or not, especially when they could do better than that.

"He didn't mean that Professor Heatwave!" Hoist tries to cover it up, hoping to make it better. "we were all just thinking of a way to help!"

"And all of you getting really hurt was a way of helping?!" Heatwave surely didn't know if these kids had a good excuse, he was simply waiting for one already.

"Professor Heatwave, we couldn't do anything, we felt bad that we had to stand by and wait around when we have abilities that could help." Whirl states, which was a good answer for an excuse. "We found out you were in trouble and we couldn't help ourselves by sitting around when we knew we could help."

"You said it yourself Professor Heatwave, the first rule of rescue bots is to help when needed, and we wanted to help you." Wedge says. "We all understand that we risked our lives and that we didn't follow instructions but all we wanted was to help."

Heatwave took a moment, reflecting a bit on what had been said. He smiles a bit, almost a bit joyful.

"I did not expect you guys to make such a good point, but I will say, you are not wrong." Heatwave answers. "Now you will still be punished for what you have done but not as bad as I first intended it to be. Now go, I will let you know when that comes."

The recruits did a great deal of thanks before heading out of the room, knowing that they managed to somewhat save themselves from a deep punishment.
