Sonder - Newt TMR

Minho's jaw nearly dropped to the floor at the sight of Newt. 

I stood sort of hunched over, shy or embarrassed like. 

While Newt stood tall, with his hands on his hips. 

"No way!" Minho shrieked, as he jumped around. 

"No shucking way!" He was cheering, as he let out a long line of laughs.

"Shhhh, keep your voice down!" I quickly hushed him. 

"Out of everyone, I didn't expect Newt! This threw me for a loop!" Minho laughed. 

I could feel my face grow warm with embarrassment. 

This is honestly worse than him yelling at me. 

"What can I say?" Newt was speaking with a cocky tone, as he raised an eyebrow at Minho. 

Was he boasting?

Then, the bastard winked at me. 

I stared at Newt in complete shock, as he playfully put his arm around my shoulders. 

What. The.  Fuck.

"Three years of hard work pays off, huh?" Minho smiled, as he extended a hand out to Newt. 

Newt shook his hand with his free hand. 

WHAT?!

WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?

'three years of hard work'?!

"Leave me alone?!" We heard the girl yell from up in the tower. 

"Shit." I said, as I limped away from them. 

Newt and Minho jogged past me to the tower. 

Just about the whole Glade stood at the bottom, holding pots and pans or any scrap pieces of wood over their heads, as the girl at the top threw whatever she could get her hands on down at them. 

"Girls are awesome!" Chuck pointed up, as he giggled. 

" Take cover y'all!" Frypan yelled out. 

"I don't think she likes us very much." Newt said, as he took cover. 

"If you throw one more of those things I'm gonna come up there and-" Gally began yelling at her, until he got smoked in the head by a potato. 

"HEY!" I used all my might to yell as loud as I could. 

She stopped and looked over the edge at me. 

"A girl?" She asked. 

"Yes, I'm a girl.  I'm the only other girl besides you.  Can you come down so we can talk?!" I yelled back at her. 

I hope this yelling back and fourth didn't last long. 

It made my side hurt worse. 

"No, you can come up here! Only you!" She yelled back. 

I looked over at Newt, who took a step closer to me. 

"I can't climb up there right now, no way." I mumbled to him. 

"Hey, it's Thomas!" Thomas yelled up to her. 

"Thomas?!" She yelled back.

I grabbed Thomas by the sleeve of his shirt and pulled him right next to me. 

"Can you go up there, Thomas? I've gotta go to the med-jacks. I've got some busted ribs and I can't climb up there." I whispered to him. 

Thomas gave me a nod yes.
