"We're missing six." I sighed to Newt, as we did a final head count.

"We'll have to do another head count in the morning.  Once it's light out, make sure no one else is still hiding somewhere out in the Glade." Newt spoke back to me, as the two of us stood at the edge of the room in the homestead.

We watched as the builders repaired the large hole in the side wall from the griever attack before, as everyone else seemed to settle in for the night.

"I hope Thomas makes it through." I softly mentioned.

Newt folded his arms over his chest, as he looked over at me.

His gaze seemed to soften a bit.

"Go up to the bathroom and shower.  I'll grab you some clothes and stand guard outside of the door." Newt then gave me a little nod.

I wasn't going to argue with him.

I was covered in nasty, stagnant water.

I was covered in slimy mud.

And I was freezing.

I hadn't realized till now how cold I really was.

My skin was ice cold and I was shivering.

I went up to the one and only bathroom in the homestead.

The wrapping around my abdomen was filthy and practical garbage at this point, but it did help a tremendous amount.

As I stood under the warm water, I let out a satisfied sigh.

I placed my hands against the walls of the shower, watching as the filth ran off of my body and down the drain.

At least this time showering, it was a whole lot easier washing myself.

"Thanks, Newt," I said as I heard the door creak open, "just set them on the floor, I'm almost done."

"Not Newt." Gally said in his low voice.

I quickly peaked my head out of the shower curtain to see Gally standing against the wall next to the door.

"Get out of here." I hissed at him.

"Nope, Newt told me to stand guard while he looks for some clothes for you." Gally responded quickly, as his voice seemed to echo in the small room.

I closed the curtain back up, as I pulled my head back into the shower.

I shut the water off as I stood there for a moment.

I didn't want to deal with Gally right now.

But, I was trapped.

"Can I just talk to you for a minute, please?" Gallys voice seemed to quiet a bit.

He almost sounded remorseful

"Towel?" I asked, as I stuck my hand over the top of the shower curtain.

Gally then rummaged around a bit, before handing me a large towel.

I dried my hair off the best I could, before I wrapped it around my body under my armpits.

"Look, I talked to Minho for a while.  He sort of gave me the run down on things.  I just wanted to say I'm sorry.  I know I yelled at you, and said some things I wish I didn't." Gally admitted.

Woah, Gally saying sorry?

Gally admitting he was wrong?

I pushed back the shower curtain, before I stepped out and sat on the edge of the tub.

"You know, I'm not mad about it.  You and Newt, I guess I'm just mad at the fact you didn't tell me." Gally walked over and sat down next to me.

As I looked over at him, I noticed how swollen and bruised his cheekbone was from my punch I gave him earlier.

I guess I hadn't seen him in decent lighting or up close enough since.

"I figured that you would have flipped your shit more than you already were about Thomas," I mumbled out, "I have never lied to you, Gally.  I don't plan on it either.  I just figured I would have told you when the time was right.  Not when everything was going to shit."

Gally looked back at me, nodding slowly.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." I apologized.

"I'm sorry I said all that I did.   I didn't mean any of it, I hope you know that.  I feel terrible, I turned into what I hate the most... the rest of the guys here.  The one's who don't take you seriously, or the ones who treat you different." Gally apologized as well.

"I'm sorry I punched you in the face." I sort of chuckled at the end.

And to my surprise, Gally let out a little chuckle as well.

"Well, I sort of deserved that one," Gally smiled a bit, as he ran his hand over his bruised cheekbone, "man, you've got some power to you.  That punch felt like someone smacked me with a brick."

"Believe me, it hurt my hand just as bad." I said, as I lifted my hand up to show him my bruising knuckles.

"Hey, I've got you some clothes." Newt said, as he peaked his head in.

"Welp, I guess that's my cue to leave." Gally quickly stood up, as Newt stepped into the small room with a stack of clothes in his hand.

Newt and Gally looked at each other for a moment, before Gally quickly walked out, shutting the door behind him.

"Well, you two didn't rip each other's heads off... so I guess that went well." Newt said, as he handed me the stack of clothes.

I pieced through them, noticing that the only items of clothes that were mine was my underwear.

"Newt... these aren't mine." I looked at him, as I raised my eyebrows.

"Yeah... well... it was kind of hard to dig through your stuff when the med-jacks have Tommy in your room... besides... I like seeing you wear my clothes anyway." Newt scratched the back of his neck, as he trailed off.

I scrunched my nose at him playfully.

"Now, go so I can change." I chuckled.

Newt shot me a frown.

"I can't help?" He joked playfully.

"Ha. Ha. Ha." I rolled my eyes.

Newt smiled, as he walked out of the bathroom.
