When kidnappings become more frequent in Raven Brooks, Maritza Esposito has her time to shine on this investigation. Only she discovers some things that will stay in her memory for the rest of her life.
It was bad enough Enzo is now in critical condition, but the fact that someone out there is spending all their hard earned money just spoiled their day further.
Nicky: "How is this town just getting more rotten How!?"
Deep in the forest we see Dale and Gordon talking with another member of the Forest Protectors called Harold.
Harold: "I don't know why we don't go over to the fellows house and deal with this guy."
Gordon: "Harold you idiot! We don't even know where he lives and we don't even know the people that man has working with him."
Dale: "Well, I do know one thing. Ever since we've found out who's been responsible for those kidnappings and learned that this new enemy owns one too many weather detectors. Things have started to make sense in this town. The unusual storms, the ravens swarming around in an unusual flight pattern. That cloaked man is taking things too far."
Gordon: "Don't bet on it Dale. We don't know what else that man has planned."
After that was said, Gordon looks out into the forest and goes into a deep state of thought. With a new threat coming in, this threw things out of order. It was bad enough that their previous enemies, the Peterson's ruined their status and put them in this state, but having another enemy who's not just after this town, but setting the path for his other members of his clan made things too complicated.
Gordon: "But I do know we should get ourselves prepared for what's to come."
Back in Raven Brook we see Jay Roth looking very grave today. The fact that his friend's son was fighting for his life made him worried. Luanne however had a very busy day of helping Joy out with the people who had suffered those seizures at the town square.
Jay: "Seriously, just when you think things couldn't get worse, this happens."
Lu: "I know what you mean Jay. Each passing moment I find it harder and harder to understand this town and the history it holds."
Jay: "And the disasters. First the Golden Apple, then the kidnappings, and now these strange jinxed moments."
Lu: "There is a lot more going on yet we just aren't seeing it. I mean, I can't find the best explanation for it, but this is all just so ominous."

We are taken to the Enigma Mill Factory where we see the Enigma more jolly like a kid who'd just returned from a candy store.
Enigma: "Disaster is such a wonderful thing. Now that I have the town shaken up a bit, I can know scout out any nosy people who crosses my path and deal with them."
The cloaked menace had finally gotten his way with the town. With disaster all around the area, it would be very difficult for any normal citizen to interfere with his plans.

Enigma: "A pity that kid at the news place got the worst end of the stick, but he brought this on himself when he tried to play hero. And as the old saying goes, don't weep for the stupid. You'll be crying all day."
The Enigma lets out another wicked chuckle as he sorts out the money he had stolen from the Raven Brooks bank. As he was checking his pocket for something, his smile soon fades away nd gets replaced with rage.
Enigma: "What! Again!? No no no!!!!"
The cloaked man wasn't expecting his day to get spoiled by this turn of events. Luck was shifting around in all sorts of directions and he wasn't in control. This was all so frustrating for him and he was going to cause great levels of devastation.
Enigma: "The scales were finally tipping in my favor again and this happens to me again! How am I getting this carless? Seriously, how?"
The scene changes and we see Finch walking by the town shaking off the pain from that accident in the Inventor's Club. Nothing was broken in her body, but she did have some infections from the dirty water, old materials, and rusty parts. Now let me tell you, having some of those cuts cleaned and soaked in vinegar and alcohol was not an enjoyable experience. In fact, those burn sensations are murder.
Finch: "Boy was I one of the lucky ones. It's a miracle my legs still work right now."
As Finch was thinking about the weird stroke of bad luck the town had faced and the harm Enzo was dealing with she felt a strain in her ankle from that infection.
Finch: "Are you kidding me? This blasted infection. Do I have to soak this again?"
As she was hating on the pain she noticed something sparkling was shining in the bushes. She shakes off the soreness and walks over to the bushes to pick up the object.
Finch: "Hey, what's this?"

The wether detector has Finch grown curious. in all her years of being a scout, she had hardly ever come across such a device such as this.
Finch: "What a weird object. I wonder what it can do?"
While Finch observes the ominous contraption, Norman Darby was watching from a distance and lets out a smile. Things would finally come together for this town. Justice would finally triumph.
