Two weeks went by since Louis sent the letter through the post, and he didn't hear anything from Harry, so at that point he accepted that he wouldn't hear anything at all. He had not only sent the letter in the post but also as an email, but he knew Harry probably had his email blocked.

And so he knew there was a chance that Harry hadn't read the email or the letter, but there was also a chance that he had and that he wanted nothing to do with their daughter.

He told all of this to his parents when he took Maeve to Bristol to visit for a week at the end of February, and Louis' dad insisted on a paternity lawsuit, but Louis wasn't sure about it.

The truth was that he didn't need Harry to raise his daughter, he had a good paying job which allowed him to get everything she could need, and he had more than enough love to give her.

When March came, and the weather improved slightly, Louis started taking Maeve out on walks regularly, and she seemed to enjoy the walks in the stroller. At a little over 2 months old she was more awake now, and her big blue eyes were focusing more on things and her surroundings, so Louis could tell that she liked being outside.

And because Maeve was comfortable and chill outside, they started spending a lot of time out of the house, and Louis started taking her to places he had never been to in London, like different parks and paths, but even to museums, galleries and libraries.

By the end of April, when Maeve was 3 months old, Louis joined a Mummy & Me class, because even though his sister had kids and he also had friends who had kids, he thought  it was a good idea to make some friends who had kids the same age as Maeve.

When he arrived there, it was a little intimating because most people were already talking among each other, and Louis wondered if they knew each other from somewhere else.

But then they were asked to sit down in a circle, and everyone had to introduce themselves and their baby, and add a fun fact about themselves.

It was about 10 people, and Louis was the last, but he knew his fun fact was the best of them all.

"Hi, I'm Louis, this is Maeve, she turned 3 months old yesterday, and my fun fact is that I didn't know I was pregnant until the day I gave birth to her" Louis explained.

"Wait, what?" a woman, who had introduced herself as Kate, asked "Are you serious?".

"Yeah" Louis smiled "I was full term, but I had no symptoms, no bump, nothing".

"Oh, wow" a man called Damian said "I'm kind of jealous".

"Me too" a woman called Iris added.

Then the woman leading the group thanked all of them for introducing themselves, and started with the first activity. The whole thing lasted about an hour, and when it ended, Louis was glad he had done it because Maeve seemed to have fun, and that was all that mattered.

Louis continued going to the group twice a week, and before he knew it, he became friends with Adam, a guy in the group who was just a year younger than him, and whose little girl was just 2 weeks older than Maeve. Adam was married, and his husband travelled a lot, so very much like Louis, he spent most of his day alone with his daughter.

"So have you decided if you're going to pay a visit to Maeve's dad?" Adam asked one afternoon while they had coffee.

Louis had shared with him his situation, and the fact that he had been thinking about going to Harry'a flat to talk to him in person.

"I don't know, it scares me to do it" Louis explained "I keep going back and forth with the decision".

"Only you know that's best for Maeve, but remember that you're going back to work in less than two months, and it will be hard to juggle work and a baby, having her dad around will make it a little easier" Adam commented.
