When Halloween arrived, Louis was 8 and a half weeks pregnant, and his morning sickness was still going strong.

After he finished vomiting, and ate some toast and drank ginger tea to settle his stomach, he got Maeve ready in her Halloween costume (a tiger costume) and drove her to daycare. Even though later that day, he and Harry were going to take her trick or treating, he took a few pictures of Maeve to send to Harry.

After dropping Maeve off, Louis made his second stop of the morning at the coffee shop that was in the building right next to where he worked, to get his second tea of the morning.

When he got there the queue was long, but he was on time, and it was essential that he had his tea to keep his belly calm, so he just stood in line and waited.

"Hi" the person in front of him suddenly greeted him.

"Hello" Louis said feeling a little confused.

"I think I've seen you here before" the man commented.

"Probably, I come here every morning" Louis replied.

"I've only been coming here since last week" the man explained "I'm Martin, by the way".

Martin was a lot taller than Louis, he was at least 6'2", and he was wearing a beautiful blue suit that complimented his blue eyes perfectly.

"Louis" Louis said back.

"Do you work around here, Louis?" Martin asked.

"Yeah, and you?".

"Yes, on this same building, actually" Martin explained "I started a new job here a few weeks ago".

"What do you do?" Louis asked curiously.

"I'm a corporate lawyer" Martin answered "I know it sounds boring, but I like it".

"I get it, I'm a financial analyst, and everyone falls asleep when I explain what I do, but I love it" Louis replied.

"That sounds very interesting, actually" Martin commented and Louis smiled.

"It's your turn" Louis pointed out.

"Right" Martin said and faced the barista and ordered his coffee, and then turned to Louis "What are you getting, Louis?".

"Ginger tea" Louis replied without thinking.

"And a ginger tea" Martin said to the barista.

"No, I'll get it myself" Louis said when he realized what was happening.

"No, I've got it" Martin said and paid before Louis could say anything else.

"Thanks" Louis said a little shyly.

"No problem" Martin smiled as they moved to the side to wait for their drinks "So do you have Halloween plans?".

"I'm taking my daughter trick or treating" Louis said truthfully.

"How old is she?" Martin wondered.

"She'll be 2 in December" Louis answered.

"So you're married or...?" Martin trailed off.

"I'm not, I'm single" Louis declared.

"That's good" Martin smiled again "For me, at least".

"Is it?".

"That was actually my subtle way to ask for your number" Martin explained.

"Right" Louis realized.

"Is there any chance I could get it?" Martin tried.
