A guard who introduced himself as Arcadios and another celestial wizard named Yukino had crashed the 'medium session' that you all were apart of. Arcadios explained his project, while Yukino would add a comment every now and then. They mentioned something about Achnologia and Zeref, a pair of names you couldn't remember. But they ushered all of you to follow them. You did as you were told, because there was really no use in arguing with the military.
They ended up bringing you to the palace.
"This is the Palace, the home of his Majesty." Arcadios announced.
"Is it really okay for us to go inside?" Happy asked.
"Yes. Before we go in, I'd like to apologize to Lucy. My misguided actions put her directly in harms way."
"What do you mean by that?" You crossed your arms, raising an eyebrow.
"Wait, are you talking about those goons that captured Wendy and I!?" Carla shouted.
"You were the one behind all of that?" Lucy asked Arcadios.
"My intention was to never put you in real danger. But I was far too aggressive with my orders. I falsely believed that you were our only hope for the celestial wizard we so desperately needed. It was a lapse of judgement. I ask your forgiveness."
No one had answered him.
"In truth, the Grand Magic Games is a mechanism to gain magic power from the participants."
"So you've been stealing magic power from wizards for years now?" Gray asked to clarify.
"How deplorable!"
"That's messed up!"
"You're certainly entitled to your opinion on the matter. But I firmly believe the ends justify the means in this case."
By the time Arcadios was done speaking, you arrived in front of what looked like a large gate with a golden sun in the middle.
"This is Eclipse, the door that will change the world. And without massive amounts of magic power, it couldn't have even been constructed."
"A door to where?" You asked him.
"When the sun and moon intersect, we will then use the zodiac keys to open this door. What lies behind it is time itself. It will allow us to travel four hundred years into the past and slay Zeref before he gains the power of immortality. His destruction is our ultimate goal."
"But... how's that even possible?" Lucy's eyes were wide with fear.
"Tell me something. Is it true that time flows differently in the celestial world than it does in ours?" Yukino asked Lucy, but her voice seemed monotone.
"Yes, it does actually."
"We'd like to use the unique dimensional properties their world possesses. Therefore, to open up this door we need celestial magic."
"Since celestial wizards are scarce these days, we thought we'd need to find a substitute source of power. But now that we located the two of you and all twelve zodiac keys, the plan can proceed as it was intended. The time for action is almost upon us. When the sun and moon intersect, this will occur three days from now on July seventh. We ask for your help, Miss Lucy."
"The seventh of July?" Natsu seemed skeptical, and so were you, Gajeel and Wendy.
"That's the same day our dragons disappeared." Wendy said, her hands clasped together.
"Pretty major coincidence." Gajeel added on.
Gray opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted when you all heard foot steps charging forward. When you looked around, it was the royal army that had you surrounded.
