To the Moon and Back?{Sting x Reader}

"You two!" Luna yelled, the air carrying her small voice to the ears of Orga. When Orga had turned around, Rufus had followed to see what his friend was distracted by, because Rufus didn't hear a word. When Rufus saw the small cat, he started to feel bad for her too. She had lost a friend without even knowing. Or maybe she continued to think he was dead. "You lied to me!"

"We didn't lie to you." Orga crossed his arms.

"You did too! Sting is alive and you didn't tell me! You didn't tell her!"

"You must forgive us, but you also must understand," Rufus started with a sigh, "we are participating in the Grand Magic Games and cannot afford to lose."

"And why would you lose if you had just told me he was alive?"

"Because we know you'd go looking for him, and we can't have that." Orga rolled his eyes.

"And why not!? They were best friends! They loved each other!"

"And that is exactly why. If he knew she was here, he'd be distracted. And we can't have him be distracted. He already thinks that she's here, and you saw what happened today." Orga spat.

"Wait, he knows she's here?"

"He thinks she's here, and let's keep it that way."

"But... but how?"

"A dragon's nose never lies." Rufus shrugged. "Or, that's what they say, at least."

Luna's eyes seemed shocked, and yet hopeful. But she soon narrowed her eyes, a dark aura surrounding her. "I demand that you take me to him! Now!"

"Yeah, definitely not happening." Orga chuckled. "He isn't in the best mindset."

"And why not!?"

"Should I tell her?" Orga asked Rufus. The blond shot him a glare, warning him not to, but Orga wouldn't listen. "I'm gonna tell her anyway."

"Don't."

"Tell me what?"

"Sting isn't in the best mindset because the Master killed off his little buddy Lector just about an hour ago."

"Lector... is what..!?"

"Sorry to break it to ya."

"No... it—it can't be!" Luna fell down to her knees, tears welling up in her eyes. Orga grabbed Rufus by the shoulder and dragged him away back to their hotel. Luna stayed down, letting tears fall to the ground. "No... no! I refuse to believe it! I know deep down in my heart he's still alive!"

"Luna? What's wrong?" You had suddenly appeared behind her, and startled her.

"Y/n!"

"I've been looking for you. Where'd you run off to?"

"Where did I run off to!? What about you!"

"Gajeel found something under the stadium, and then we got caught up with the royal army."

"The army!?"

"But everything will be fine."

"Will be? What's wrong?"

"Lucy has been taken hostage by the government. So we're planning an operation to get her back."

"When did this happen?"

"About half an hour ago. We went right to Master to see what to do."

"And what did he do?"

"He pulled Natsu from the team."

"What!?" Luna was so shocked that she had transformed into her human form. "You're joking, right?! We are so close to winning the games, we have a one point lead! And he's pulling Natsu!?"

"We are planning a rescue operation, Natsu is apart of it."

"So... that means there's a free spot on the team..." Luna thought out loud. "Y/n, you have to compete!"

"What..?"

"You have to compete! You need to take Natsu's place and compete in the games! You have to!"

"It's already been decided that Juvia will take his place. I'll be going with Natsu, Wendy, Mira, Happy, Carla and Lily, and hopefully you, to save Lucy."

"No! You have to compete in the games!"

"What's going on with you? You were so against it before, and now you're saying I have to?"

"Yes! You need to see Sting, he needs to see you!"

"Luna, enough with this! I don't know who Sting is, and I am not competing in the games when my friend needs my help! I will be helping Lucy and that's final!"

Luna was taken aback, and transformed back into her cat form. She looked sad, but had an understanding look in her eyes.

"I'm sorry. Lucy is more important right now. I was being selfish. I will accompany you tomorrow and help save Lucy."
