Humans are truly contradictory creatures.

Mu Xiaoxiao had only been by her side for a little over a month, yet every night, as Qin Yi sat alone under the stars and moon, she found herself unable to tolerate the absence of that girl.

She had grown used to Mu Xiaoxiao's presence.

Used to her subtle lychee fragrance.

Used to her endless chatter.

Every time, Qin Yi felt as if the constant chatter was some kind of noisy punishment, and she often wanted to staple Mu Xiaoxiao's mouth shut. But after just one day without her, the silence at home had felt even more maddening.

Now that Mu Xiaoxiao was back, everything felt back to normal.

"In my dorm, I have a really close friend named Zhang Qiao. She's a die-hard fan of yours. She knows everything—every official album, concert, and news update about you."

Mu Xiaoxiao's little storytelling session had begun once more, and she had grown used to talking to herself in front of the eldest miss. "Back then, she would always rave about you, watching your music videos in the dorm nonstop. She'd even drag me to watch them with her, saying that we couldn't build a meaningful friendship if we didn't share common interests." She laughed, turning to look at Qin Yi. Under the soft moonlight, a gentle ripple stirred in her gaze.

"The eldest miss is really beautiful on screen, no wonder she was so obsessed with you." Her bright eyes fixed on Qin Yi, shining brightly.

"But you know, Eldest Miss, I think you're even more beautiful without makeup. I feel like I might just become your biggest fan."

Though her words were compliments, they made Qin Yi's heart sink.

She felt deceived.

Baidu had lied to her.

Mu Xiaoxiao's gaze had lied to her.

So... she only wanted to be a fan?

"Eldest Miss, can I be your number one fan from now on?"

Unable to be a little sister, the cunning phychologist had found another way. She smiled as she looked at Qin Yi, lips slightly curled.

Qin Yi cast a cold, indifferent glance at her.

Mu Xiaoxiao: ...

Why are you getting angry again?

Hadn't she been complimenting her this whole time? What was wrong now?

Qin Yi raised her hand coldly.

[You're not worthy.]

Mu Xiaoxiao: ...

Damn.

That was a total knockout.

After saying this, Qin Yi wheeled herself away. No more moon-gazing, no more stargazing, and certainly no time to discuss dreams or aspirations with Mu Xiaoxiao.

She was fuming she felt like dying.

Who did Mu Xiaoxiao think she was?

Was it really that great to be my little sister or fan all the time?

Who cares?!

The next morning, as Mu Xiaoxiao ate the leftover shredded potatoes, she kept sneaking glances at the eldest miss' expression.

Qin Yi was reading the newspaper. She didn't seem to be in a good mood, and her expression was tense. There were faint dark circles under her eyes—could she have stayed up all night?
