The young miss believed she had never done anything truly bad in her life. Any occasional "little schemes" or "small tricks" were all aimed at Xiaoxiao. Yet, despite this, Heaven still seemed just and relentless in its retribution.

As she saw Xiaoxiao grinning so widely, like a frog, seemingly about to throw her onto the bed, the young miss clung tightly to Xiaoxiao's arm, her face flushed, "Let me go!"

Normally, even with eight times the courage, Mu Xiaoxiao wouldn't dare defy the young miss. But right now, with fire burning in both her heart and mind, she smiled, lowered her head, and kissed her cheek. "What's there to be shy about?"

She wasn't going to let go.

With a loud creak and an even louder crash, the bed collapsed before either of them could enjoy its comfort.

Dazed by the fall, Mu Xiaoxiao stared blankly at the young miss, who was now sprawled on top of her, using her like a human cushion.

What the hell?! How could this happen? This is her brand-new bed!

Mu Xiaoxiao was both stunned and furious. Her first instinct was to check on the young miss: "Did you get hurt?"

Qin Yi shook her head calmly.

How could she have gotten hurt? She had made sure to confirm everything with Liu Fang.

Sometimes, a small bit of kindness can end up saving yourself.

Though Mu Xiaoxiao wasn't badly hurt, the sudden crash gave her a scare, and the weight of the young miss pressing down on her didn't help.

Clutching her waist in frustration, she growled, "What kind of lousy quality is this? I'm going to find the owner!"

She was a loyal customer, yet they had dared to fool her with such a shoddy bed. Even in this simple village, she couldn't escape quality issues!

Qin Yi was unfazed: "That's what you get for trying to be fancy."

Mu Xiaoxiao fumed: "I even asked if the bed could handle two people. They swore it could!"

The young miss cheeks flushed slightly. Mu Xiaoxiao rolled up her sleeves. "No, I have to confront them."
