Do you want to eat what's in my mouth?
--A professional is indeed a professional.
Mu Xiaoxiao's thorough yet simple analysis made the little figure inside Liu Wannian's heart cheer wildly-Long live the lady boss, long live forever!
Qin Yi's face was as cold as frost, on the verge of anger. Ignoring the presence of Song Ke and Liu Wannian, Mu Xiaoxiao leaned forward and threw her arms around Qin Yi, who sat in her wheelchair. "Young Miss, I missed you so much."
She had never imagined that one day, someone like her-who always prided herself on independence and never relying on anyone-would turn into such a clingy little puppy. She really did miss Qin Yi.
The old saying goes, A day apart feels like three autumns. But for Mu Xiaoxiao, she only took a nap, and waking up to not seeing Qin Yi left her restless for the entire day.
As she inhaled the familiar sandalwood scent from Qin Yi, a dark thought crept into her heart-she wanted to lock Qin Yi away and take her home with her.
Qin Yi's cheeks flushed red. Ordinarily, she would push Mu Xiaoxiao away and ask if she had a death wish. But her gaze fell on Song Ke, who was standing behind Mu Xiaoxiao, her face practically splitting from suppressed laughter.
Qin Yi paused, then raised her hand and patted Mu Xiaoxiao on the back.
["Alright, go see your sister."]
Mu Xiaoxiao greedily took in another breath of Qin Yi's scent before reluctantly pulling away. She looked at Qin Yi and asked, "Why didn't you scold me today?"
Qin Yi bit her lip, her gaze filled with playful irritation.
Does she think she's at home right now?
Is she still drunk from last night?
Meanwhile, Liu Wannian remained expressionless, a familiar smile tugging at his lips.
Don't mind me, don't mind me-I'm not even here. Pretend I'm invisible. I'm used to it.
To Song Ke, this was a shocking revelation. She had grown up with Mu Xiaoxiao. She knew exactly what kind of person her sister was-someone who would always put herself between them and danger. She remembered the summer when older boys would eye them, making her feel uneasy. Mu Xiaoxiao had been scared too, but she still told Song Ke to wear two pairs of pants, even when sleeping, with a stick always placed beside the bed for protection.
Apart from their mom and grandma, she had never seen her act spoiled toward anyone. But now... who is this person?
"Oh, right! Young Miss, let me introduce you-this is my sister, Song Ke."
Mu Xiaoxiao turned toward Song Ke. "Song Ke, this is-"
She hesitated, wanting to call Qin Yi "Young Miss," but worried Song Ke wouldn't understand. Yet, calling her "sister" felt off. For some reason, she didn't want to say it-not that she knew why.
As Mu Xiaoxiao struggled with her words, Qin Yi gave a slight nod and said softly, "I'm Xiaoxiao's... big sister." Her tone was slow and gentle, no longer stammering.
Ordinarily, Mu Xiaoxiao would have been thrilled at Qin Yi's progress. But hearing her say the word sister irritated her for no reason.
She stared at Qin Yi. Why was she suddenly okay with being called "sister" today?
Qin Yi's dark, sharp eyes locked onto her. What? Are you unhappy now? Isn't this what you wanted?
While the two exchanged silent glances, Song Ke smiled lightly and said, "Hello, I'm Song Ke." Her introduction was polite, but something about it made Qin Yi narrow her eyes.
