58: Qin Yi gently caressed Mu Xiaoxiao's cheek with one hand.

The moonlight was soft as water, and the refreshing air after the light rain had brought the stifling heat down.

With the medication taking effect, Mu Xiaoxiao had already fallen asleep. Her nose was slightly congested, so she could only breathe through her mouth, pouting like a little pig.

Around eleven o'clock, Qin Yi came over on her wheelchair, holding a book. She tucked the blanket that Mu Xiaoxiao had kicked off back around her, sitting beside her and softly began, "Once upon a time, in a forest... there were three little pigs... and they lived happily together." Her voice was slow and soft, and as she looked into Mu Xiaoxiao's eyes, it was full of tenderness.

Qin Yi only dared to do such things while Mu Xiaoxiao was asleep. Being a Scorpio, she longed to be good to someone, but her aloof facade wouldn't allow her to be too direct, she could only keep it hidden in her heart. This kind of training, Qin Yi had silently persisted in for two days. She had previously been reading magazines, but now she had switched to fairy tales.

She didn't want to admit it, nor was she willing to admit it, but it was Mu Xiaoxiao's words—"If you don't practice well your speaking voice, I won't take you to Guizhou"—that had scared her into this decision.

Though Mu Xiaoxiao had a cold, she could still hear Qin Yi telling her a story in her dream, a very old one, the story of the three little pigs that she could imagine her mother telling her when she was little.

In her dream, she laughed at Qin Yi until her eyes squinted into slits, waking herself up with her laughter. Mu Xiaoxiao was startled and let out a squawk, rolling out of bed, "What the hell, Young Miss, why are you here?"

God knows what it feels like to open your eyes and see someone sitting beside you.

Qin Yi was also taken aback. She didn't know why Mu Xiaoxiao had suddenly woken up, she had just finished telling the story, and Mu Xiaoxiao had been laughing happily.

With a cold expression, Qin Yi said, "I was afraid you might... suffocate to death."

Mu Xiaoxiao: "..."

After a moment of silence, Mu Xiaoxiao glanced at the fairy tale book that Qin Yi had placed to the side, "So you came over to tell me the story of the three little pigs because you were afraid I'd die?"

Qin Yi: "..."

Sometimes Mu Xiaoxiao could be really annoying, giving Qin Yi no dignity at all.

The rain outside continued to patter softly. Mu Xiaoxiao looked at Qin Yi, "Can't you sleep? What a shame, if I weren't sick, I could sleep with you."

Qin Yi stared at her coldly.

Mu Xiaoxiao shivered internally, wondering if she had said something too excessive.

Qin Yi replied stiffly, "Am I afraid of catching a cold?!"

Oh my God.

Mu Xiaoxiao laughed, a knowing smile on her face. So it turned out that Qin Yi had come here wanting to sleep together at night.

Seeing Mu Xiaoxiao laughing at her, Qin Yi immediately put on a stern face. She turned her wheelchair to leave, but Mu Xiaoxiao, well aware of Qin Yi's personality, threw off her blanket, jumped down, and hugged her, "Don't go, don't go! I'm lonely and scared of the rain and thunder. I want you to stay with me, okay?"

Qin Yi frowned, "Let go."

Get lost! Is she a child? Still wanting someone to coax her to sleep?
