Ganthet: possibly.

Jaune crosses his arms and thinks about it

After a few moments he came to a conclusion

Jaune: I'll do it.

Jessica: Jaune?

Jaune: I always believed that everything happens for a reason.

There's a reason why I have this ring, there's a reason why you are here Jessica and there's a reason why I'm being called....

I refused to see the signs beforehand and it ended in disaster.. 

But I won't ignore it ever again.

He turns to her

Jaune: I must go the galaxy needs me.

Jessica: I......I know.

She held his hands in concern

He held firm until he lets go and looks to the Guardian

Jaune: I'll do it.

Ganthet: wonderful! Let us make preparations. You can say your goodbyes for now.

Jaune: yeah. This needs to be announced.

The guardian nods as Jaune and Jessica leaves to tell everyone about his departure

Kilowog: are you sure it's okay to get a kid involved?

Ganthet: it's the right thing to do. I have foreseen it.

Meanwhile Atlas Academy:

Jaune and Jessica delivers the news to everyone

Many of them disagreed about his re-assignment

Jaune reassured them that this assignment is of grave importance if a Guardian is asking him to be his personal agent

James took Jaune to the side and gave him some much needed advice

Ironwood: I know this assignment is gonna take time from your sessions but that doesn't mean that you stop getting help.

When you are in this Green Lantern Corps. Find People you can trust, make some bonds, confide in your peers.

To soldiers like me it's our brother and sisterhood that help us through tough times.

But always remember you are never alone. You have your friends and family rooting for you.

Jaune: thanks General.

Ironwood: call me James. Now go. Duty calls.

Jaune nods and thanks the General with a hug making him hug back like a father would

Jaune then says his goodbyes to his classmates

Jaune: I guess this is farewell.

Weiss: for now I hope........I am.....sick of losing friends.

Jaune: don't worry Weiss it's gonna take a lot to kill a Green Lantern even more for a Red Lantern such as myself.

Yang: sure but you will be fighting things like aliens and maybe someone like you.

Jaune: a Lantern? Yeah I've read reports on such things. I prepared for it in my spare time.

Blake: but nothing beats experience.

Jaune: yeah. I know and with this assignment I believe I'll get plenty.

Ruby: just be careful.

Jaune: yeah I know. I'll be back.

Jessica was there to see him off

Jaune: I leave my home to you.

Jessica: you can count on me!

Then a big hand pats her head

Kilowog: that's right Poozer, I got this rookie and I'll show her Ring Slinging 101.

Jaune cringes reading records of this Dril Instructor

Jaune: goodluck Jess.

Jessica: I'm gonna need it.

He nods to all of them and he then turns to the Guardian

Ganthet: are you ready Lantern Arc?

Jaune: as ready as I'll ever be.

He nods and ushered Jaune into the skies as everyone waved him off and he waved back

The pair flew to the stars as Ganther opened a wormhole to quick travel to their intended destination
