Jaune Lantern

After the fighting there was a brief moment of peace

Days passed as everyone was able to get some rest

Jaune woke up in his bunk bed and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and take a shower

After putting on an Atlas T-Shirt and Shorts he walked out in sandals and enjoyed a well earned time off courtesy of General Ironwood

He was walking past the corridors wearing all his rings as he can't just leave one laying around as some goober might try it on

A lot of the students showed him respect since he was known as the Hero who saved Atlas from falling on Mantle, he even got some fans who asked for selfies and autographs 

He just smiled and humored them

He is not used to this

He entered the Mess Hall and saw the Ace-Ops, he grabbed some coffee as he met Marrow at the coffee dispenser

Marrow: hey, how are you doing?

Jaune: just came to get some morning coffee.

Marrow: late riser huh?

Jaune: actually no. This is the first time I slept in.......in forever.

Marrow: well this one's on me.

He gave him a cup

Marrow: think of it as thanks and as an apology on how we first met, some of my teammates are head strong.

Jaune: I know that feeling.

Marrow's face went sour

Marrow: I heard what happened to you. Are you okay?

Jaune: I'm doing fine. A lot of people has been asking me that lately.

Marrow: sorry I was just worried.

Jaune: thanks.

Marrow turns away still feeling bad

Jaune's ring blinked 

Jaune: I know something's on your mind. You can tell me. Keeping things secret tends to weigh a lot and drags anyone down.

Marrow: I just....I'm a replacement. I don't think I fit in my team.

Jaune: let me tell you a secret. Neither did I.

Marrow: really? But your so strong.

Jaune: hey I didn't get here in one day. I was the weakest in Beacon.

Marrow: what?

Jaune: so weak in fact I believed I didn't belong there. Even on my team.

But I persevered and trained, spent time, bonded and trusted the Team I had. We..... we were like a Family.

I offer you this wisdom. We all feel like we're out of place. But we must find that place where we belong and once you find it hold onto it. 

You never know what might happen.

Marrow: ....thanks. That's a huge load off my shoulders.

Jaune: just trust your team and in turn they will trust you. Just be yourself and open up to them believe me I didn't and look where that got me.

Marrow: my condolences ...and thank you very much.

Jaune: enough with the thanks you remind me of my partner who always says sorry.

He excused himself and went back to his team

Jaune just walked out and just looked around to take in the sight
