It’s been five weeks since you met the Turtles, and life has become a lot more exciting with mutants in the mix—something you never expected. Discovering that you’re part of one of the most powerful and skilled ninjutsu organizations in Japanese history has boosted your confidence in battle. Having friends who share your passion has made you feel truly welcome. Over time, you’ve grown closer to your new friends in many different ways.
You’ve been spending a lot of time goofing off with Michelangelo. The two of you constantly challenge each other in video games and crack jokes, making him feel like a little brother.
With Raphael, it’s a mix of teasing each other and occasionally getting on each other’s nerves. But no matter what, you always have each other’s backs—he’s like an older brother to you.
Donatello is the one you go to whenever you need advice, whether it’s personal or academic. Sometimes, he even asks you to help as his lab assistant, which is always a fun and fascinating experience.
You’ve also developed a unique bond with Master Splinter. He often asks you to share your ninjutsu skills with the Turtles and offers guidance along the way. He reminds you of your own Sensei in many ways.
But then there’s Leonardo—and that’s a completely different story.
Almost every day, you and Leo talk, meet up, and train together. You’ve grown to love spending time with him, and your connection feels deeper than friendship. From the very beginning, you couldn’t ignore the way he stood out to you. You never imagined yourself crushing on a mutant turtle, but there’s something about Leo that you can’t help but admire. In just over a month, you’ve learned so much from him, and you’re grateful that he and his brothers have become such a meaningful part of your life.

Leonardo’s T-phone buzzed with a soft ding, pulling his attention away from the comic book in his hands. Glancing at the screen, his face immediately lit up at the sight of a familiar name—the one he secretly loved seeing more than any other.
(Y/N).
Setting the comic aside, Leo picked up his T-phone and tapped the message open.
“Hey Leo! I just wanted to send you that picture we took together last night.”
A second buzz followed, this time with an attached photo: a selfie of (Y/N) and Leo, smiling side by side. His cheeks warmed with a faint blush as he stared at the image. He loved that picture. In fact, he decided right then and there that it would be her contact photo.
Without hesitation, Leo opened the text app and began typing his reply.
“Thanks, I was wondering when you’d send me that.”
(Y/N) replied almost instantly, her text short and playful:
“lol. (≧▽≦)”
The simple three-letter response shouldn’t have meant so much, but to Leo, it did. His chest felt light, and his smile grew as his blush deepened. Over the past few weeks, his feelings for (Y/N) had only grown stronger.
He knew he shouldn’t feel this way—shouldn’t let himself fall for her like this. But no matter how hard he tried to reason with himself, his emotions always pulled him back in. Deep down, he worried that she’d never feel the same way about him. In his eyes, that seemed the most likely outcome.
Still, he couldn’t bring himself to say anything. The thought of ruining their friendship because of a silly crush—no, a huge crush—was too much to risk. So, for now, Leo kept his feelings to himself, letting them simmer quietly beneath the surface.
