The apartment door shut with a soft click behind you as Wade practically dragged you inside, his hand still firmly gripping your arm. The familiar scent of something burnt probably Wade's idea of cooking lingered in the air.
You weren't staying. Absolutely not. As soon as Wade let go, you were going to bolt for the door, thank them for the lovely kidnapping, and get the hell out of here.
Wade released you just as you turned to make a break for it—
Thud.
You smacked straight into a wall of muscle. Correction: not a wall. Logan.
You stumbled back, your nose tingling from the impact, and tilted your head up. Logan stared down at you, his eyebrow arched in that signature you've gotta be kidding me expression.
"Going somewhere?" Logan rumbled, his voice low with the faintest hint of amusement.
Your face heated immediately. "Uh.....no?" you muttered, quickly looking away, your heart beating faster than it should've been. Great. Real smooth.
Logan smirked, an actual bonafide smirk and grabbed you firmly by the shoulders. Without a word, he turned you around and started walking, steering you further into the apartment.
"Hey is there another—" you protested before getting cut off by Logan and his grip didn't loosen.
"You're staying," he said simply, his tone brooking no argument.
"I'm not staying," you shot back, digging your heels in as he guided you into the living room.
Logan ignored you, releasing you only to head toward the door. You turned to watch him as he reached for the lock, clicking it shut with an almost deliberate slowness.
You crossed your arms, glaring. "You know, locking the door won't stop me."
Logan leaned back against the door, his arms crossing to mirror yours. His lips quirked into the faintest grin. "No, but it'll slow you down. And if you try to jump out a window, Wade'll catch you. He's got a thing for dramatic rescues."
"Hey!" Wade called from the kitchen, where he was rummaging through the fridge. "It's not just dramatic rescues! I do other things too, like emotionally support and annoy the hell out of people."
"Exactly," Logan said
You pinched the bridge of your nose, "Unbelievable."
"Look," Logan said, his voice softening slightly. "You're beat up, you're tired, and you're clearly not thinking straight if you thought running into me was a good idea."
