"Do you two always have to team up, or is that just for me?"

The air inside the warehouse was cool and heavy, the faint smell of oil and dust lingering in the shadows. You were stationed by the main entrance, keeping an eye on the surroundings while your team scouted the rest of the building.
It wasn't your first job guarding a warehouse, but the eeriness never really went away. Every creak of the walls or distant footstep had you on edge, your sharp senses tuned to every sound.
Then you heard a familiar voice echo from behind you.
"Heyyy pookie. Fancy meeting you here."
You turned sharply and Wade stepped out of the shadows, his mask pulled up just enough to reveal his a grin. Logan followed close behind, his expression somewhere between amused and annoyed.
"Are you stalking me again?" you asked, narrowing your eyes at the two of them.
"Stalking?" Wade gasped, clutching his chest. "How dare you accuse me of such villainy! I prefer the term 'unexpected soulmate check-in.'"
Logan raised an eyebrow. "You call walking straight into a job unexpected?"
"Details, details," Wade said, waving a hand dismissively.
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "You two can't be here. This is a job."
"And we're just here to supervise," Wade replied innocently, though the mischievous glint in his eyes betrayed him.
"I don't need supervision," you said, crossing your arms.
"Maybe not," Logan said, stepping closer. "But it doesn't hurt to have backup."
The bond thrummed faintly in your chest as Logan's steady gaze locked onto yours. It wasn't fair how calm he always seemed, like nothing could shake him. Wade, on the other hand, was practically vibrating with energy, his grin widening as he stepped into your personal space.
"Besides," Wade said, his voice dropping slightly as he leaned closer. "You missed us. Don't deny it."
"I didn't miss—"
You didn't get to finish the sentence. Wade's hands were on your shoulders, pulling you into a kiss that was equal parts playful and heated.
Your initial reaction was to shove him away, but the bond pulsed between you, and for a moment, you melted into the kiss. His lips were warm and insistent, the faint taste of something sweet lingering on his tongue as it brushed against yours.
Before you could fully process what was happening, Logan's hand slid to the back of your neck, gently tilting your head as he leaned in. His kiss was rougher, slower, his stubble scraping against your skin in a way that sent shivers down your spine.
