The three of you strolled through the quiet city streets, the faint hum of distant traffic filling the cool night air.
Wade, as always, kept the energy alive, his exaggerated gestures and endless chatter making you frown at least five times within the span of a block.
Logan walked on your other side, quieter but no less present, his hands in his pockets and a faint smirk tugging at his lips whenever Wade said something particularly stupid.
It was...nice. Too nice, honestly. The first date had gone far more smoothly than you'd expected. No disasters, no awkward silences—just the three of you eating overpriced food and, dare you say, enjoying yourselves.
"So," Wade began, breaking the comfortable silence. His voice took on that playful, almost suspicious tone you'd come to expect. "Now that date number one is in the books, I think it's time we talk about date number two."
You blinked, glancing over at him. "Date number two? You're already planning another one?"
"Obviously," Wade said, throwing an arm over your shoulder like it was the most natural thing in the world. "You don't just have a chill night with your soulmates and not immediately schedule the sequel."
Logan snorted softly, his smirk growing. "You're lucky he didn't plan the second date before the first one even ended."
"Don't give me ideas," Wade shot back, pointing at Logan with mock seriousness before turning back to you. "Anyway, Birdie, don't leave us hanging. What do you say? Round two?" grinning as he draped an arm over your shoulders
You opened your mouth to reply, but hesitated, your steps slowing slightly as you considered it. The first date had gone well—it was chill, better than you ever thought it would.
But agreeing to a second one so soon? That was a whole new level of commitment you weren't sure you were ready for. Especially with these two buffoons
"Fine," you muttered, shrugging Wade's arm off your shoulders.
Wade let out a low whistle, his grin stretching as he leaned closer. "Looking forward to it, Birdie. I already have it planned out in my head."
You gave him a suspicious look, your arms crossing instinctively. "That's not reassuring....what are you planning"
"Oh, you'll see," Wade replied, wiggling his eyebrows. "Think fireworks, Something tasteful, and romantic of course."
Logan sighed. "He's kidding.....Probably."
You shoting Logan a side glance before looking back at Wade. "Just....don't make me regret this"
"Neverrrr," Wade said, holding up three fingers in a Scout's honor salute. "Scout's honor. This second date? It's going to be legendary."
"You weren't a scout," Logan said flatly.
"Details," Wade replied, shrugging dramatically.
As the three of you continued down the sidewalk, Wade fell into step beside you, his voice softer now. "But seriously, N/n. Thanks for saying yes. We'll make it a good one."
You glanced at him, surprised by the sincerity in his tone. For a moment, the bond thrummed softly, the warmth of it settling deep in your chest.
"Yeah," you said quietly, your lips twitching into a faint smile despite yourself. "We'll see." You whispered to yourself "We'll see..."
