"Babe, calm down," Kayla said, placing her hand on my wrist as I stepped forward. I've been wanting to meet him since she told me about him at the arena during the tour. I've been wanting to face him since he insulted her as well. Adds more fuel to my fire.

"I didn't mean what I said. I promise I didn't," Mel tried to defend.

"Didn't mean it my ass," I step forward again and Kayla tried stopping me again but my wrist left her grasp.

"You calling me a liar?" Mel asked, stepping to me as well.

"I'm not even calling you candid!"

"Okay, Liam!" Kayla said, moving off the wall quickly to pull me away. Not budging at all, she stood closer to the both of us as she said my name sternly and quietly.

"Let me handle this," her voice rang in my head. I sigh out of anger and step away.

"Well, why don't you look at that," Mel started.

"Don't push it, Mel," Kayla said as I back way some more.

"This is so pathetic," Mel muttered. He turned around to leave.

"Mel!" Kayla called to him.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

"He has my phone," she told me. I looked back at him and he looked at his hand. No wonder it was behind his back.

"Give her the phone and leave," I told him. Mel set her phone in her hands before he backed off and out of the theater. I turn and look at Kayla who looked irritated and stressed again.

"You alright?" She sighed, squeezing the bridge of her nose, nodding.

"Yeah," she said. "Let's just get out of here." She turned around as we took the back exit out. I knew I made a mistake by stepping like that. But I wasn't overstepping my boundaries as her fiancee. Even though I know how she feels about this situation, I couldn't fight myself, instinct alone, to stay out of it. I made it worse for her and now I feel bad. This was supposed to be a calming and relaxing night and it's not very calming. Nor relaxing anymore.

Driving home, Kayla was quiet the whole ride. I had to make it up to her. So I took a turn into the park near the house. Parking the car, I turn it off and look at Kayla as she turns and looks at me.

"What are we doing here?" She asked, still leaning against the head of the seat.

"Making up for my mistakes. C'mon," I said, stepping out of the car. I heard her sigh but she still opened the door and left the car. I walk around to her and grab her hand as we began walking the park trails in the night.

"Kayla, I'm sorry about what happened at the cinema. I shouldn't have got involved."

"It's okay Liam. It's better than not doing anything at all," she said, putting her left hand in her pants pocket.

"I just know that you didn't want me involved in the start and I should've stayed out of it like you asked me to the first time," I said to her. I still feel really back. "I'm sorry for ruining this night."

"Liam, you didn't ruin this night!" Kayla said, looking up from the concrete path. "You had my back, you protected me, and most importantly, you cared. And I appreciate that," she said, smiling at me. I turn to her.

"Of course I cared. I love you more than anything. Plus, if I'm being honest, I've wanted to come face to face with him since he insulted you that day," I admitted to her when we came to a stop. "Still, I know you didn't want me involved. And I should have stayed out it."

"Honestly, I was hoping you would have!" Kayla admitted, grinning at me, causing me to grin as well as she played with our locked hands. "And I'm glad you did. So thank you." She walked to me, pecking my lips.

We kept walking for a little bit longer before we turned back around and headed to the car to go home. And all I could think of was, boy...what a night.

Hello! I hope you came from Book 1 - They Don't Know About Us! If you have not read that book yet, read it before reading this one. It isn't rewritten the best considering I wrote it during 2018 or even after that, but this book was started in 2021/2022, so it is definitely written better, lol!

As said before, I forgot to add a picture to the first book of Kayla, so here is one of what she looks like for this book. A picture was also put in book one in the first chapter.

I would also like to the time and share my love, respect, and condolences to Liam Payne and his family. Obviously, I'm a huge fan of Liam Payne. I love him so much and will always love him. He was my biggest songwriting inspiration and I will forever look up to him and creativity. This is dedicated him.

R.I.P. Liam Payne🕊️❤️
