Behind the Mask - Hyunjin x reader

- So, Felix said, as we were packing our stuff in the dressing room after the end of today's session. Are you gonna tell me what actually happened, or do I have to start guessing?

Practice had been intense, and Minho did not go easy on us but that was understandable. The showcase was in less than 2 weeks, so we were mostly going full out on the routines. 

I groaned, too tired to have to defend myself yet again. 

- Nothing happened, Lix'.

He hummed, clearly unconvinced. 

- Right. So you just casually woke up on Hyunjin's couch?

I shot him a glare. 

- Yes, actually. He was drunk. I made sure he got home safe, and I must have passed out there too. I was exhausted Lix', having to carry his drunk ass home by myself, and Hyunjin isn't exactly a light weight. 

- And I was wondering where the hell you were yesterday, when I saw Jisung doing shots by himself. 

I rolled my eyes. 

- This alcoholic. 

Felix laughed but didn't push the subject further. He kicked a small rock in front of him as we walked. 

- And by the way, you're one to talk about secrets! When were you gonna tell me about you and Chaewon? 

He nearly tripped. 

- What?

- Don't even try to play dumb right now. 

Felix exhaled, shaking his head with a small smile. 

- Okay, fine. I was actually gonna tell you anyway.

I stopped walking and turned to face him. 

- Wait. No way. You're actually going to-

- Yeah, he said, stuffing his hands deeper into his pockets. I'm gonna ask her out.

A grin spread across my face. 

- Felix! I grabbed his arm, shaking it excitedly. Finally! I was starting to think I'd have to push you two into each other.

He laughed. 

- Yeah, yeah. I just... I figured, why not? She's amazing, and I really like spending time with her.

I softened. 

- Well, I think she'd be an idiot to say no.

- You think so?

I rolled my eyes. Didn't they kiss already? And hasn't he seen the way this girl just looks at him. Damn, he's even more clueless than me, if that is even possible. 

- But I don't know how to ask her out though, he whined. I need it to be special. 

I smirked.

- So you are asking for my advice.

Felix groaned.

- Just help me, okay? She's your roomie, you must have some ideas for me. 

I thought about it. Chaewon loved romantic stuff. I had seen her bawl her eyes out in front of this new show called Lovely Runner, when the male lead took the girl to the cherry blossoms or something. She had turned to me to tell me it was the most romantic thing she'd ever seen. 

Bingo. 

- You know this little park near the east campus, with the cherry blossoms? 

- Uhh, yeah, I think?
