Behind the Mask - Hyunjin x reader

That week-end, we finished the group project, thanks to an all-nighter at the library and a consequent dose of coffee and energy drinks. 

We barely made it, but we made it. 

So big slay to us. 

Which is why, when I got home that Friday evening, I felt lighter than usual. 

Maybe it was because the weekend was finally here. 

Or maybe it was because I had spent the week at the hill again, with Hyunjin rambling about some drama that happened in his art history class, and this new choreography idea he had just gotten. 

All while I tried not to get distracted by the way his lips moved and his eyes lit up when he talked about dance.

Hold up, what? 

Anyways.

I kicked off my shoes after unlocking the door, when my eyes caught something unusual in the flat, and I blinked. 

Right there, on the dining table, was a bouquet of flowers.

My heart skipped a bit

Oh my God.

There was only one explanation for this.

Felix.

He had finally asked out Chaewon.

Without hesitation, I rushed to my flatmate's room, not even bothering to knock. 

- Kim Chaewon, you have some explaining to do... Or maybe I should call you Lee Chaewon now, uh?

She practically jumped when I burst out into her room, before flashing completely red at the mention of the new family name. 

- Y/n! You scared me so bad. 

I smirked, leaning against her doorframe, arms crossed.

-The flowers, Chaewon. The note. Felix asked you out, didn't he?

Her face somehow turned even redder as she groaned, burying her face in her hands. 

I gasped dramatically.

- So he did?!

- He did.

- I KNEW IT!!

Chaewon grabbed a pillow and threw it at me. 

- Shut up before he hears you all the way from his apartment. 

- You need to tell me everything. How did it happen?

As if I hadn't given him the exact perfect date idea, and that is exactly what she described. 

- ... and then he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend, he was all nervous and-

- Oh my God, Felix was nervous?

- Y/n.

- Sorry, continue.

She bit her lip, playing with her sweater.

- He said he's liked me for a while but wasn't sure if I liked him back, and he didn't wanna ruin our friendship. But then he just decided to take the risk and asked me out.

- And what did you say??

She gave me a look.

- What do you think?

I gasped again.

- You said no?!

- Oh my god, of course not! I said yes!
