I sat around the table in my house playing cards with my brothers, Marcus, Scott and Daniel.

"Come on JD. You keep delaying the imminent decision you have to make," Daniel said taunting me and everyone stared in anticipation.

I raised my brow catching onto his double entendre.

"You think you're so slick," I answered before making my play.

He chuckled at the fact that I caught on to his double meaning sentence before he played his card winning three times in a row now.

"Fuck you again," Roman scoffed throwing his remaining cards down and Marcus grabbed at the chance to shuffle the deck.

"Let me shuffle this time 'cause I don't trust you," Marcus said shuffling the deck to prepare us for another game.

Daniel looked at me pointedly again, "What are you going to do?"

He didn't give away too much in case I didn't want to reveal my plans in front of Marcus.

It's weird talking about my girlfriend to my best friend who's also her brother.

We do talk about her sometimes but not as often as I would like to. Before Marissa, Marcus and I would always talk about women. He was the player type and I was the one woman type of guy. I did have fun with nameless girls back then but I was a lover boy at core, I was always searching for love.

The moment I met Marissa I knew she was special. I'm thankful for the things that happened which aligned us to meet each other.

Daniel has grown really fond of her and he considers her a friend. He's majorly concerned about the decisions I will make as he doesn't want me to lead her on and break her heart.

"My family has a jet so I could travel back and forth to see her or I could send the jet for her," I answered.

Marcus' ears perked up after realizing that I was talking about his sister. He was giving me a distrusting look.

This is why I can't talk about her with him because he never sees things as my friend anymore, he's always looking in as the protective big brother.

I shook my head in dismay, "I'm in love with your sister. I don't know how many times I have to keep saying that until you believe it."

"Well be a man about shit. Fess up, let her know what's up and let her decide."

Roman and Jacob were staring at me because they know firsthand how much I hate making life changing decisions.

There's nothing I fear more than making the wrong choices and not going on the path meant for me.

This is what I've been praying about and asking God to lead me on the path I'm supposed to take. I don't want to mess up.

"Is she okay with doing long distance?" Roman asked softly because he knew how easily I got overstimulated.

"It doesn't matter how many minutes, hours, months or years that pass they'll never stop loving each other," Jacob's humor filled voice announced.
