Of course, with how the way things were, they decided to avoid much more emotion than needed to be necessary and keep on going so that they can move to another area. However, the next place wasn't any more pleasant to deal with either.
Which looks to be personalized-like living space with toys and blankets strewn around.
With a couch and still powered on television.
All of it filled with dirt and debris.
As if someone had been living there before they too became the victims of a presence.
"Ugh. This is worse than that time I left pizza for a month in my trailer." Muscle Man complained, in much disgust by the filth around him.
Which was quite surprising to the others, knowing how messy and disorderly he can be himself back at the Park.
"Quite frankly, I must say I agree. This rancid, musk odor is not good for a small quesy stomach like my own." Pops added, feeling sick to his core.
"Sigh. It's gonna be alright guys. Just...oof. Hang on a little longer." Benson spoke, who was also feeling his head spin in much of this chaos.
As Mordecai spotted yet another tape near the couch and played it in the VHS player.
Which was viewed in a plain screen with a gas mask in the middle before the recording of a familiar woman's voice played through.
Indicating the continuation of Claire Harper's tragic story to her demise.
"Alright Ms Harper. Please continue explaining to us this... phenomena that your child has seen." The scientist expressed in a way that most would call cold and calculating.
"She saw something horrible! She-!" Ma Harper was going to say until she was interrupted by the group of scientist in front of her for psychic evaluation purposes.
"Mrs Harper, we'll provide the best care we can offer, you have my word. But for now, what's happening right now is important. Did Marie happen to describe what she saw?" The scientist asked for basic evaluation.
"Yes! A monster she said. That... it was colorless. I could feel... her poor little heart pounding. For her....it was right there. Her movements, they were wild. Arms failing, legs kicking. I wanted to talk to her...to see how's she doing. I really need to hear her voice." Ms Harper expressed in much distress.
"I'm sorry Mrs. Harper, but that would not be of your concern. As of right now, her vitals have shown to be normal and we'll continue to monitor as she progresses her way to recovery. She will be okay." The scientist insisted in the video.
"No!!!! Well pardon me, if I'm not comforted by that! Just please...whimper bring my little girl back to me." Ms Harper expressed in much grief of her child, all before the video resolved to a blank screen.
Leaving the group unmoved, but now listening in onto the messages, hoping to seek more answers to the questions left unresolved.
"Alright. I guess we'll have to find another source to power up the-" Mordecai was going to say until a static sound suddenly interrupted him from a distance!
"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" A distant abandoned radio spoke from about 5 feet away from the group!
"Ah!" The gang yelled out in a jumpy fright except for Skips and Mordecai, who took a moment to recognize the voice from the other end.
Until Mordecai gasped once he was able to piece it together.
"Gasp! Poppy!" Mordecai gasped while hurrying his way over to the sound ahead.
"Mordecai! Don't!" Skips attempts to warn Mordecai, who immediately ignores him and proceeds to pick up the radio from the ground.
"Poppy? I'm here. It's Mordecai." Mordecai answered to the radio once he pushes the button to reply back on the device.
"Oh, thank goodness. I thought I lost you after the train crash.....Is...is he okay too?" Poppy asked, referring to Skips.
As Mordecai looked over his shoulder to see a heavily stressed Skips, rubbing his forehead from the headache of it all.
And knew then that she was already aware of his secret being revealed.
"....Yes." Mordecai answered quietly.
"Do you understand why all of this is happening?" Poppy asked next, in a much calmer manner.
"Yes.....I even heard about Harper from one of the tapes that you left for us." Mordecai pointed out, figuring that it was Poppy who was laying all of the mysterious tapes around.
As if she wanted them to learn the truth.
If only it was to say to be her real intention that is.
".......and now you know the reason why." Poppy replied back quietly.
"Yes. But if there is any way that you can still take me to my father and help my friends out of here, I would still appreciate all the help that I can get." Mordecai pleaded.
"Of course. Follow the path that you are heading at this time and meet me in Catnap's den. There will be a park surrounding the place.....once you reach there, me and Kissy Missy will be waiting for you. Good luck and please....tell Skips that I am sorry for putting him through all of the pain that he had to suffer. I hope at the end of all this... that he can forgive me." Poppy spoke on before her end of the radio cuts off.
As the rest of the group looks over at Skips in much confusion.
"Skips what is she talking about? How did she know who you are?" Benson asked, with his hands on his hips, demanding an explanation.
"Oh boy.... Well, I was going to tell you all this later on when we were closer to escaping this whole nightmare. But, I suppose your well-known knowledge into my other memories of my past life hasn't already been intrusive enough. I uh...." Skips was going to say before a pause of silence hits him in much guilt.
He didn't expect to be in the spotlight of everything around him.
But at a time like this, with all of the trust that he has built into what he called his family.
He knew it was only right for them to know more about him.
"I used to work at the factory....and was the sole survivor of the Hour of Joy attack." Skips confessed.
"Ah yeah! I knew it!" Rigby cheered on, in victory of being right.
While Benson, crossed his arms, annoyed.
"Tsk. As if secrets hadn't been enough for you. You're always covering up things that I'm not even aware of and yet....sigh. I never once questioned anything about what you do outside of work because I respected you and trust that you would always make the right choices." Benson emphasized with a nod, which gave him a sign that he was okay.
Even if it wasn't the best way to explain his past.
"Yeah, Skips. It's like totally okay to feel that way. You're immortal, you can kick butt and I've even seen you handle challenges that could smash a person's face off. You're like the coolest ever bro." Muscle Man spoke on in much support.
"I agree. One man's bravery and strong-will is worth a thousand in a lifetime." Pops added on in much approval.
"Daww, thanks guys. You know for years, I've always wondered if you will ever think less of me now that I've gotten us in a little too deep with all of this madness. But now, that you guys are still here with me, I think I'm going to follow on forward and finally leave all of this behind me, for good." Skips spoke with a little more confidence in his tone.
"Don't worry, Skip. You're not alone in this anymore. We've got your back." Mordecai added on as well, patting on his shoulder in support.
While the others nodded their heads in much agreement.
As the group continues on forward in their quest to seeking a brighter light ahead.
