At first, the pathway was easy to access with many charging stations to power up.

Until they somehow came across a dreadful scene.

The very back end of their train crash.

As the group slowly walks past it to get away from the fire that was quickly spreading across the tracks.

Until a sudden new static noise took over the radio as if the site was an activation zone to another point of the deadly game ahead.

"Woah! Did you do that?!" The unfamiliar voice spoke over in excitement.

"Ahhh!" The group yelped out in a fright!

"T-that's not Poppy-!" Mordecai was going to call out before Skips cuts him off in a hurry.

"Shh! Don't say a word." Skips hushed him as the group listens on to the rest of the message as if they were uncovering another tape, without a screen to watch.

"I guess that's where Catnap found you. I know you're probably mad at Poppy for not letting you escape, but she needs you. We need you. You are our mission. Together we can save a lot of people, including you. Playcare is straight ahead. It's the home of Catnap....one of the smiling critters. There used to be 8 of them I think? Now it's just him. Playcare is his hunting ground. Whatever he wants it to be. You better get moving quickly...We'll keep in touch. Oh and by the way, my name is Ollie. Nice to meet you." The mysterious voices spoke out like a recording of an old event before the radio then cuts off.

As the group now turns to him, with all of them now wanting more answers to these many unpredictable occurrences.

"Okay, Skips. You have to explain this to all of us right now. Who else is involved here?" Mordecai asked him, while trying his best to be brave looking at his eyes.

While his inner thoughts were more frightened for his father's wellbeing.

Not knowing how all of this will go down.

"The prototype. I didn't want you guys to panic back any of it this early but...he's back. He killed Catnap, the last time I was in here. The radio message was just to mess with your head." Skips explained simply.

"Who else knew about this?" Mordecai asked, in concern.

"Just me, Poppy, and Kissy Missy. Except, she took an unexpected choice and decides to run away into the cracks while I fell through a crumpling ground not long afterwards. And despite everything that Kissy Missy could do to hold onto my grip, I couldn't pull up to the surface. They both thought then that I didn't make it and...we never saw each other again. Which is why, I didn't trust any of them. Because they've all took advantage of my trust and threw it elsewhere for their own selfish needs. I know it was long time ago, but coming back here to find you has pulled me back through the darkness of all these nightmares. But you needed my guidance or else you would have been trapped here for I don't know how much longer. Possibly until your sanity grows weary and thin. Heh, that would still sound a bit dramatic, if you ask me." Skips spoke with a light laugh to lift the mood up a bit.

But the others knew that he was in much pain as Mordecai then pats him on his shoulder and nods his head.

"I'm sorry you had to deal with so much on your shoulders. But I promise, we'll make it out of here, alive. I think with all of us here, we have a good chance escaping this place too." Mordecai assured him, confidently.

"Ha. You better hope so, kid. Or else you'll be the one that ends this old man's eternal existence." Skips joked a little while the rest of the group looked at each other in much concern before they all quietly walk forward in a singular direction.

——————————————————————————

Once they arrived to the stopping point of the train station, they went inside the surveillance room and searched for a charging station in the back and powered up the entrance gates before entering through and come across a new transportation center called Elliot's Express.

After turning on the power switch, they all sat inside the seats of what seemed to be a gondola ride built with a cord to carry the group from one place to another.

As the group then looks over at the TV screen and listens in on the next message while waiting for the next path to take.

Hello! My name is Elliot Ludwig. When you look around at the world today. What one thing do you think it needs more of? I asked around once. Money I never have enough. Understanding, I can never get any. Faith, the common man has lost it. Each answer was different and I could perhaps see some little truth in each. But I think each was also missing something. Something simple. You see, not one of them could muster a smile. A smile is hope. A smile is love. A smile is understanding. And there is nothing more gratifying to my soul than being the reason for a child's smile. To be the spark that ignites all their hopes and dreams. For it is only through hopes and dreams that we may create a better world. One where our children need not to be afraid, one where they are protected. After all, this company and its toys are nothing without them. These children deserve to smile, they deserve to love and they deserve a safe home. That is why it is with enormous pleasure that as the founder of Playtime Co. I announce....Playcare! Our very own onsite orphanage! But, it's not only that. It's a school, a playhouse, a place to belong. Our very own ecosystem beneath the surface.  Dedicated in every inch and detail to ensuring a child's smile. It's teachers and counselors, mothers and fathers, until such a time they have all of that in you. May Playcare bring joy, inspiration, and smiles to all who enter these doors. For what gives life its meaning, if not a smile?" The voice presented before the screen then cuts off in a close.

As the group silently exits the Gondola until Muscle Man, whose boredom spoke out in words.

"Ugh, finally. I thought that old man talking on the TV wouldn't shut up." Muscle Man complained while they walked further into the front corridor of the place before the radio sparks static.

Which warned everyone to once more stay quiet to hear out his plans before making any sudden movements.

In case...he was watching them from afar.

"Psst. It's me again, Ollie. Cool place right? The kids used to live here. Now look at it....Anyways, do you see that statue in the middle of the room? Take the stairs that go under it. There's a really cool room in there that powers literally all of Playcare! And I can give you a key down there." The radio spoke before cutting off.

"What do you want us to do?" Mordecai asked Skips, looking over at his glance for the signal.

"Nothing. For now, we play along. Until we can find your father. Then, we'll make our moves." Skips advised as they all walk over to the statue and entered into the hidden chambers.

Before they then take another treacherous path.

To the unknown basement of secrets within.
