Once the crew were able to power up some the room using the charging batteries left strayed, they continued forward down the path.Up until they walked into a side and see a familiar pink figure sitting on the bed with a picture in its clutches.
"Oh my. It's Kissy Missy." Pops pointed out while the group looks at her odd calm behavior.
With Skips basically waiting for them to ask him the next few questions in mind.
"What is she doing?" Benson asked, puzzled by the creatures still motion with the picture in its hand.
"Holding her picture." Skips spoke sadly.
"Her picture? What do you mean by that?" Rigby asked in much confusion.
Before the group turn their heads to look on over at Skips, whose gloomy expression obviously gave away a very awful ending to the story.
"Oh boy. Sigh. I guess you guys still don't get what happens to these kids once the experimentation reach to extreme levels." Skips spoke in a sigh while the group took a moment to piece together everything that he had just said.
Until it hit them like a struck of lightning.
"Ooh." Mordecai mumbled first, with his eyes frightened and saddened by what he had now understood.
It all made sense now.
The visions.
The screams.
Their echoing laughter.
It was all....a nightmare.
Their nightmare.
That they have been trying to tell him and Skips this whole time.
While the others, from a different point of view, were also expressing their version of dismay in the discovery as well.
"So, what you're saying is...all of these horrifying creatures were...." Rigby spoke second, while gathering together the same conclusion as well.
"Yep. Kissy Missy was once a child...and so were the rest of them. Sadly, the majority of these kids have all been taken away by either me or the prototype. With nothing but robotic clones left in their places." Skips explained with a heavy heart.
As much suffering as he had to endure when he first trying to survive the 'hour of joy', it still pained him to see how many innocent lives were lost underneath the abominable laboratory works.
That nobody had ever deserved to be a part of.
And for what?
None of those so-called scientists were even honorable enough to be called human.
Because no person could be cruel enough to take away someone's life.
Least of all, children for that matter.
Who only wanted to have a home to stay in.
To live in a place filled with shelter, nourishment and love.
How repulsive it must have been to turn any of their smiles upside down.
