As Nani sobbed on the floor, the door suddenly swung open again. His heart leaped—was it Dew?

But as he looked up, it was Sky. Without hesitation, Sky rushed to him, pulling him into a tight embrace.

Nani broke down, sobbing even louder.

"I'm here, Nani. I'm here."

The next morning, Nani woke up and immediately called Dew.

No answer.

He called again. And again.

Still nothing.

"Nani, do you want me to make you breakfast?" Sky asked from the kitchen.

Nani shook his head. "I have to go. I need to find Dew."

Sky nodded, watching him closely.

"Oh... how did you get in last night?" Nani suddenly asked.

Sky hesitated for a second before answering, "Dew called me. Told me the passcode."

A strange feeling settled in Nani's chest. Dew had confessed last night, and Nani had, in a way, rejected him. And yet, Dew had still made sure he wasn't left alone.

Taking his jacket, Nani moved towards the door. "Sky, are you ready? I need to leave now."

Sky stepped in front of him, looking down—Nani was slightly shorter. He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss against Nani's closed eyelids.

"Your eyes... they're the most beautiful I've ever seen."

For a second, Nani was frozen in place.

"We should go," he mumbled, turning to open the door.

But Sky caught his wrist. "Wait."

Nani turned back, confused.

Sky's voice was firm. "I need to make something clear."

His fingers brushed along Nani's cheek, then traced lightly over his lips.

"I love you."

Dew's voice echoed in Nani's mind. His chest tightened, but as he looked into Sky's eyes, he felt something different—his heart fluttered, butterflies erupting in his stomach.

He had never felt this way for Dew.

Slowly, he placed his hands on Sky's face, staring into his eyes.

Then, he nodded. "I love you too."

Sky pulled him into a deep hug before pressing a kiss to his lips. Their mouths collided, heat surging through Nani's veins. His fingers clutched Sky's jacket, while Sky cradled the back of his head, deepening the kiss.

When they finally pulled apart, Nani's face burned red.

Sky smirked. "You're adorable when you blush."

"We should go. I—I need to find Dew," Nani stammered, flustered. He turned to the door and stepped out.

Sky followed with a quiet chuckle.

When they arrived at the football field, whispers filled the air. Nani could feel the eyes on him, the hushed murmurs, the snickers.

His stomach twisted.

Ignoring them, he scanned the field, searching for Dew.

But Dew was nowhere to be found.

The team briefing began. Bright stepped forward.

"First off, congratulations on the win," he said, nodding at the team. "A few of you exceeded my expectations." He began listing names, and among them—

"Dew."

Silence. No response.

Bright frowned, glancing around. "Where is Dew?"

No one answered.

Bright exhaled sharply before turning to Nani. "Nani."

Nani stepped forward hesitantly.

Bright crossed his arms. "You played well during practice. What the hell happened during the match?"

Nani swallowed. "I... I got nervous."

Bright studied him for a moment before sighing. "Alright. Just don't mess up next time. You've got speed—I can use that."

Nani nodded stiffly.

With the briefing over, players began heading to class. But Nani had no intention of staying either.

Grabbing his bag, he sprinted toward Dew's faculty building, his heart pounding in his chest. He dialed Dew's number again. And again.

Nothing.

When he reached the faculty, his worst fears were confirmed.

Dew hadn't shown up that day.

A cold shiver ran down Nani's spine.

Dew had always been by his side. Always. Just the thought of losing him sent pure terror through his veins.
