Connie's POV:

Oh, poor innocent Ginger, she didn't know it was coming! Here I was, sneaking behind the gingerbread toon, as she peacefully hummed a quiet song. She was decorating cupcakes that Sprout and Cosmo had made earlier. She had no idea what was coming.

First, I flicker the lights

Then, I make ghost weeping sounds

Finally, I yell "BOO!" in her ear.

Ginger screamed, probably overreacted, and dropped her icing tube, which went flying into the batch of cupcakes and knocked them off the tray. Unfortunately, they all fell onto the floor. Whoops. 

Ginger was still catching her breath, pushing her icing hair out of her eye and panting like she's just seen a ghost. Because she did. I decided to stop being invisible and cackle, making myself seen as I float in the air grabbing my tummy and giggle.

"Oh, you should've seen the look on your face!"

Ginger was still in shock. She looked down at the cupcakes on the floor, then back up to me. She glared, clenching her first and practically hissing at me.

"Connie, you bitch, don't do that again! Now I dropped all the cupcakes and Sprout and Cosmo are going to be pissed!" 

I stopped laughing and cocked my head at the cupcakes. It's not like they smooshed. I picked them off of the ground and handed it to Ginger.

"Nonsense! They're not crumbled, it's still edible!"

"Ew, Connie," Ginger gagged, "those were on the floor! You know Pebble pee's there right!?"

I only laughed more. I loved messing with Ginger, she was so fun to toy with! She got so mad so easily, and it was funny to see her cheeks flush red when she got angry. Honestly, it was adorable!

"Well since you messed up the cupcakes, you're helping me bake some again before Sprout and Cosmo come back."

"Wait what?"

Well, I guess it was time for Ginger to humiliate me. I had absolutely NO baking skill, and Ginger on the other hand was a pro, especially at decorating. One time I tried baking a cake for Looey and I burnt down the kitchen. I'm actually banned from cooking in the kitchen again. Sprout's rules.

"Very funny, Ginger, but you know I got banned from baking, right?"

"Yeah," Ginger said with a shrug, bending down to pick up the cupcakes, "but Sprout's not here, is he?"

I pursed my lips. There is no way out of this is there? And if Ginger tells the other two, I'm the reason the cupcakes fell, well let's just say it's something I don't want to have happen.

"Fine, but don't get used to this."

Ginger had started to set things up, as I floated around and messed with my hat. This was so boring! I wish I was gambling with Gigi or maybe scaring the shit out of Astro. Either way I did not want to be baking right now. Ginger finally got things set up and gave me an apron.

"Here, so you don't get stuff on your shirt."

She wrapped the apron around me, and I must say it looked cute. It wasn't a special one like Cosmo and Sprout's but the plain white looked good on me. I snickered:

"Look good, don't I?"

Ginger laughed and rolled her eyes, then she opened her arms out to the ingredients as if to show me what she's got planned. 

"Ok, so first, we're gonna add the flour."

Ginger opened the thing of flour and gave it to me. I poured the right amount in the bowl easily and scoffed.

"Dude, I know, I'm not five."

Ginger glared at me, then tossed me other ingredients. How do people even find this fun?! I ended up cracking an eggshell into the batter, which Ginger groaned at.

"Connie..."

"Hey, this is your fault, woman, not mine!"

Ginger glared at me before taking a bit of the flour and shoving it in my face, causing me to scream and sneeze. I had to wipe the white powder out of my eyes nose and mouth, spitting it out. 

"You bitch!"

Ginger laughed sweetly, and I knew she was just teasing but my heart skipped a beat. I laughed a little too along with her, I couldn't help it. Then she shoved the spoon into my hand.

"STIR."

I grabbed the bowl with a bit of sass and slowly put the spoon into the batter just to piss her off with a fake ass smile. Then I slowly stirred and spoke through grit teeth. 

"Look, I'm stirring."

Ginger scoffed at me again, then stole the bowl from my grasp and the spoon.

"More like pathetically moving the spoon around the bowl, let me show you how it's done."

Ginger started to whisk the batter fast and soon enough it was normal looking as ever. I was honestly amazed. I knew she did all the decorating for Sprout and Cosmo, but she's got to have great skill if she could whisk something like that so fast. 

"Show off," I muttered. Then she laughed and poured the batter into the cupcake liners, before slipping them into the oven. 

"Thanks for the help, Connie, that was fun...even though you're annoying as shit."

"Oh, don't mention it, it's the least I could do!" I said sarcastically too being called annoying. She just doesn't appreciate my amazing humor.

"Thanks for shoving flour into my face," I said, crossing my arms.

"Anytime."

Both of us shared a laugh. I never got along to well Ginger, I mean she's fun to tease and prank but I never actually talked to her like this. It was nice, and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Ginger smiled stretched her arms.

"Well, you can go now if you want Connie," she started, "the only thing left is to decorate them, and I can do that by myself."

"FREEDOM!" I yelled, before poofing away in front of her eyes. I was only invisible though, so she knew I was right there. She smirked and shook her head.

"Weirdo."

A day later, I was on my way to go torture Astro with some scary stories, but then Ginger blocked my path.

"Aw, miss me already? You want me to bake with you or something? Sorry, Ginger, that was a onetime thing."

"No," she laughed gently and shook her head, "I have something to give you instead."

She handed me this little white box neatly put together with a pink ribbon. I took it skeptically and started to open it in front of her.

"You sure this isn't some prank?"

"I'm not going to steal your thunder, Connie."

I laughed as I removed the ribbon and set it aside, then opened the lid of the box. To my surprise, it was a box of cookies, all of them sugar cookies with Halloween decorations on them. I stared at them in awe, probably looking stupid as shit, but nobody has even given me something like this before.

"A thank you for baking with me," Ginger said softly.

Then she leaned forward and pressed a small, soft kiss to my lips.

"And that's for humoring me," she said, her cheeks blushing a rosy, red, "see you around, Connie."

When Ginger left, she left me in complete utter shock as I dropped the box of cookies in my hand to the floor.
