After I had closed the door behind me, I heaved a sigh of relief over the fact that I didn't do anything that would cause him to not like me.
I learned my lesson with Odysseus. This time I won't be creepy.
I went back outside to clear my mind about the day, although I'm literally two hours into it.
The sea was looking as beautiful as ever, but it was too bad I could not cross the reef.
I had tried to escape before, but I had been struck down by Eris, the goddess of chaos.
In fact, I still had a scar on my arm from that moment.
Oh, if only I could escape this island.
Sure, it was pretty and all, but it's sad knowing that I'll be stuck here for the rest of my life.
I just sat on the sand and stared at the ocean, but then, I heard purring coming closer.
It was my cat, Sparkles. I found her on this island when she was just a month old, and now she's about nine months old.
"Hi, baby girl! Come here, Sparkles!" I crooned in a baby voice.
She sauntered over towards me and started purring and rolling in my lap.
"That's a good kitty." I said happily.
Then, she started to bite my hand!
"Sparkles! How many times have I told you not to bite people?!" I snapped.
Sparkles looked at me in a startled manner.
"Look, I'm sorry for yelling. But you can't bite people!" I sighed.
I then picked her up and went over to feed the dog.
