The Maze (Newt X Reader) Book 1 - complete

I was walked to the medjacks by Newt, and the whole way there he kept asking me, and I quote, "What the bloody hell where you thinking?" And I would always reply, "I  don't know Newton." or "I was just pissed off."

When we finally got to the medjacks, Jeff said my lip would be swollen but should be gone in a day or two. Newt also walked me to the slammer. The walk there was the same as the walk to the medjack.

Let me just say this, I've only been in here for about 30 minutes and dying of boredom. After another 30 minutes go by Chuck and Minho come and visit me. "Hey guys." I said once I seen them.
"So greenie, we heard that you beat the hell out of Gally." Minho said with a smirk.
"Well I wouldn't say I 'beat the hell out of him'." I replied making air quotes around what Minho said.
"You still did a pretty good job. I mean yeah you got a busted lip. He got a black eye and a bloody nose that won't stop bleeding." Chuck said giving me a high-five through the door.
"We gotta go eat, see ya tomorrow greenie." Minho said also giving me a high-five through the door.
"Yeah see ya (Y/N)." Chuck added.
"Bye guys." I said before they disappeared from my sight.

About 45 minutes later of me pacing and twiddling my thumbs I see a light coming toward me. "Who's there?" I ask.
"Don't worry greenie it's just me." A familiar British accent said.
"Oh, hey Newt." I said relieved and happy it was him.
"I brought you something." Newt said handing me a covered plate. I uncovered the plate and seen chicken, corn, and mashed potatoes. As soon as I smelled the food my stomach growled really loud. Newt laughed and said, "Well it's a good thing I brought that, sounds like you're starving love."
'Love... If only he knew how crazy that made my butterflies go.' "Yeah, I guess it is." I said chuckling, "Thank you so much Newtie."
"Newtie?" He asked confused.
"Yeah, that's your nickname now." I said blushing slightly, good thing it's pretty much dark outside. I finished my food and me and Newt talked for a little bit before he said goodbye and left.

Yay! By myself again... Might as well try to get some sleep. I lay on my side and lay my head on my arm, since there is no pillow in here. Everything slowly fades away and goes black, then I'm having another dream.

Dream time

I am sitting at the top of a tree and I appear to be around  13 and I'm holding hands with someone, I can't control what  I do so I can't lift my head up, I'm just staring at our hands that fit together perfectly. Then I speak, " What if they come and take us?"  "We'll fight to stay together if they trey to separate us." I heard a very familiar British accent say. I look up and I see Newt, who appears to be about 14. He leans in and kisses me softly and quickly on the lips, he then pulls me into a tight hug and whispers in my ear, " I'll love you and protect you no matter what happens."  I whisper back, " And I'll love you until my heart stops beating."

End dream

I woke up crying and sweating and breathing a little heavy. 'Me and Newt was together before all this? Well that explains this feeling I have. but I can't tell him yet, what if he thinks I'm crazy? I'll just wait until the right moment.' I calmed myself down and after an hour of my mind racing I finally fell into a dreamless sleep.
