The Maze (Newt X Reader) Book 1 - complete

A/N: Okay guys I split this into two parts because it's the same day and when I start a new chapter it's always the next day or something.

NEWTS P.O.V:

It's only an hour until quitting time, all day I couldn't stop thinking about what Minho said. Thomas keeps talking to me about finding a way out and asking how he can help, but I'm blocking out most of what he's saying.
"Newt are you even listening to me?"
"You want to help greenie? Here." I say tossing him a bucket and shovel. "Go dig us up some more fertilizer."

Thomas took the bucket and headed off into the woods. 'Good that should keep him busy for a little bit.' I was lost in my thoughts yet again until a yell broke me from my thoughts. "HELP!" I heard someone yell from the woods. Then I saw Thomas running out of the woods yelling for help with Ben chasing him. Ben tackled him to the ground and started choking him and yelling something at him. I grabbed my shovel laying next to me and ran over there and knocked Ben off of Thomas. Gally holds Ben down and I go to help him. "Bloody hell Ben! It's alright! Just calm down!" I yell.
"Calm down Ben! It's okay! Calm down!" Gally yelled.
"What's going on?!" Thomas yell-asked.

Alby came over to see what was going on, when he got over here and seen Ben he said, "Lift his shirt." So I did and there was a big black wound on his stomach and his veins were a sickly green color. "He's been stung." Said Gally.
"Yeah no shit." I say under my breath, luckily no one heard me.

It's about time for (Y/N) to be getting back. A couple of the boys packed Ben to the medjacks. I see her turn the corner with Minho right beside of her, when I see them together I feel sick. But I knew she wouldn't do me that way, I trust her. "Hey Newtie." She said when she got to me and gave me a hug. I gave her a peck on the lips and told her and Minho about Ben. "I'm gonna go see him." Minho said before he left.
"Is Tommy okay?" (Y/N) asked.
"Yeah he's fine. The keepers and leaders are about to have a gathering about this, we was waiting for Minho to get back. I'd go sit with him until after the gathering, he's in the homestead."
"Alright, come tell us what happened as soon as the gathering is over."
I nodded my head and went to the gathering.

THOMAS' P.O.V:

I'm sitting on my hammock with Chuck, just thinking about what happened. I was so confused. Chuck doesn't know much, and Alby when he was here didn't tell me anything. I just with someone would explain to me what was going on. "Hey Tommy, how ya feeling?" I look up and see (Y/N) standing in front of me.
"Physically, I'm fine. I'm just so confused about what happened, and no one will tell me anything."
"Chuck, let me talk to Tommy alone please."
Chuck nodded his head and left without saying a word. She sat down next to me and explained everything to me.
"So they're having a gathering right now to, what, decide his punishment?" I asked.
"Yep. And when they're done Newt is supposed to come here and tell us what was decided."

We sat in silence for a few minutes until Newt showed up. "A decision was made. He's gonna be banished tonight."
