The Maze (Newt X Reader) Book 1 - complete

It is now 9:00 in the morning, I have been training with Minho since 5:30... 3 an half hours without stopping once! I thought these leggings were tight before, now they're stuck to me from sweat.

Lunch was amazing, I finally got a break. Then it was back to training until dinner, and after dinner there is going to be a gathering.

Finally time for dinner, I'm shocked I haven't died yet, but I can't wait until the gathering.

I'm sitting in the middle of the room again, but this time it's only Alby, Newt, Minho, Zart, and Frypan. "We have called this gathering because our greenie here wants to be a runner. She has been training all day with Minho, and we shall hear from him now to see if she is capable of being a runner." Alby shouted at everyone. Then Minho stepped forward and began to speak, "I think she's more than capable. She's fast, strong, has great stamina, and I think I can trust her to have my back in there. I want her to be a runner."
...I have to say... I was shocked.
"(Y/N) wait outside while we discuss this, we'll call you back in when we're done." Newt said with no emotion in his voice. I looked him in the eyes before I said, "'Kay." and waited outside.

While I was waiting I couldn't stop thinking about Newt. 'He looked so hurt, when he spoke it sounded different, when I looked into his eyes they didn't have the spark they usually have. What's wrong with him?'  I was interrupted from my thoughts when Minho came and told me to come back in.

When I walked in Newt was standing in the corner staring at the ground with his arms crossed.

"So greenie, you're a runner now." Minho said cheerfully.
"Really?" I asked kind of shocked.
"Yep, now let me explain to you about your other jobs." Alby started, "Zart has all the people he needs, so you won't be a track-hoe anymore. But Fry on the other hand needs help, So you will run for 2 days, then cook with Fry for 1 day. Then repeat."
"Alright, sounds great." I said happily with a huge smile on my face.

Now I need to talk to Newt and see what's wrong... "Go to bed early greenie and rest, you start running tomorrow." Minho said to me. Guess Newt will have to wait...

Newts POV:

I told (Y/N) to wait outside so we could discuss this. I couldn't believe what Minho said... She can't be a runner! But, I was the only one that disagreed with this. So I just went to a corner and went over in my head all the horrible ways she could die in there... No... I can't loose her...

A/N: So I know this chapter kinda sucked, but I needed to think of something for you guys.
And by the way... HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope you all have a great day and eat 'til you can't eat no more... God knows I'm going to. :D
