Prologue: *four years ago*
"Dani, I seriously do not understand what's wrong with you. These are the hottest boys I have ever seen. You absolutely can not tell me that you don't think the same!" my best friend continued to scold me as we sat at our lunch table.
"Sorry to burst your bubble, Max, but not only do I not find these guys attractive, but I also don't like their music. Until they look like Jensen Ackles, Eddie Redmayne, Chris Evans, and Chris Pratt, I really don't care." I rolled my eyes, a small smile on my face as I took a bite from my salad. "Ask me again once they've started pumping out some classic rock music."
Max groaned, letting her head drop onto the surface of the table, making our small friend group laugh.
"There's no way you can beat classic rock," my friend, Connor, laughed, grasping my shoulders and shaking them, causing to me smile brightly and laugh along with him.
Currently, Max was trying to get me to agree that this one band that she was extremely obsessed with were the most attractive boys on the planet and that they made the best music to ever bless this earth. As good of a friend as I am, I just had to disagree. There were easily much more attractive men in the world. I honestly had no idea what she found so appealing about the four boys.
I finished eating my salad and stood up to go throw away the rest of my trash. By the time I got back to the table, Max had once again begun talking about the band. I laughed, shaking my hand, "Come on Max, the more you talk about them to us, the more likely we are to go deaf."
It took about five minutes of letting her rant, but once she was finished we changed the subject to what we were looking forward to at the end of the school year. All of us were in our final year of high school and some us were still debating on the idea of going to college. What they didn't quite know yet is that I've already accepted a full ride scholarship to UCLA for photography. I was going to tell them at some point, but I didn't think that the school cafeteria is the best place to tell them about something so special.
"So Dani, what are your plans for after we graduate?" My blue-haired friend, Nicole, asked me.
I looked up, slightly startled, the thought of my scholarship popping into my head, but played it off as I had just zoned out, "Oh yeah, I hope to head to college, probably somewhere away from home. See other places, you know."
Everyone nodded, though no one else said anything as the bell rang, signaling that lunch was ending and we had a limited amount of time to get back to class. We all gathered up our bags before giving our goodbyes and walking off in our separate directions.

Several hours of degrading and boring school work later, my friends and I were headed over to Connor's house to hang out and work on our Theater assignment.
One of our major assignments was to write and film a short film, and since we were all lucky enough to be in the same class, we decided to work together, as we all knew everyone would be reliable. The oldest of our friend group, Jacob, wrote the script and I would be starring as the lead, as Max and Nicole didn't want to do it. The main thing featured three people, one girl and two boys, so the other three would be working the technical side of it all.
Max's boyfriend, Kian, parked his car outside of Connor's place and we climbed out. Kian helped me grab my camera equipment that we had carefully packed away in his trunk after stopping by my place to pick it up, before heading to the door. The others had already shown up in order to get everything else set up so we could get started easily. Luckily, Connor saw us headed up the front walkway and opened the door for us.
Max was getting the costumes together, and Nicole and Jacob were setting up the hair products and makeup. I don't know why Nicole and Max were making me play the lead girl because I was like the camera master of our group, and Max liked being in the spotlight much more than I did.
"Finally!" Max shook her head once she saw us, "Hurry and get the camera set up so you can change into your costume."
The shots we were filming at Connor's house were the ones where the girl moves into a new house across from these roommates. It shouldn't take too long to film, but considering that Connor, Mr. Perfectionist, is the one directing, it could take longer than I'd like.
I set down the equipment that I was carrying before grabbing my camera bag and tripod. Jacob moved from where he was helping Nicole and followed me as I walked out the front door.
Jacob was also into cameras like I was, so it was nice to have him helping me out with all this stuff. As we began setting up for the first shot, we heard a very recognizable scream.
Jacob and I both looked right at each other and shook our heads, "Max."
"That band again?" Jacob ran a hand through his hair, laughing.
"Probably," I shrugged, "Here, you stay here and finish setting up the camera. I'll be right back."
Jacob nodded and I ran back across the street. I took a small breath as I stepped into the house, prepping for the weirdness that was to come.
The first thing that I heard as I walked through the door was Max squealing in between words, "Oh my god! They retweeted me!"
"It's just a simple tweet," I chuckled at her craziness.
"Whatever! It's still special to me!" she rolled her eyes and smiled, "Okay, let's get you changed."
Max grabbed my hand and led me down the hall where one of the half bathrooms was. As she handed me a hanger that had two pieces of clothing on them, I asked, "So what exactly happened?"
I quickly changed out of my clothing as Max began rambling on about how one of them noticed her tweet and retweeted it, which is what caused the scream. I sighed, tugging on the tight-fitting maroon crop tight I was provided with. After tugging on a pair of shorts, I put on the black skater skirt, making sure to hide my belly button.
"Jacob! Connor! Get ready!" Max yelled as I walked out of the bathroom. "I wonder if they'll notice more of tweets."
I shook my head as I watched her walk off. This band was going to be the death of her in all honesty. I chuckled to myself before heading down the hall towards Nicole to get my hair done and keep working on the project.
