Chapter Five:
I looked at my Pikachu tank top and my black skinny jeans with a sigh.
I'd have to leave my apartment in ten minutes to go meet Calum at Arson's Astounding Arcade (A/N: not a real place. I legit just came up with it)
"Okay. It's just a meet up. No big deal," I assured myself as I slid on my leather jacket. I think I was freaking out more that I should be, but it's just who I am. I grabbed my shoulder bag and shoved in my things that I don't leave the house without and sighed again. "I'll be back later Max!"
"Okay! Don't get raped!" I heard her yell from her room.
I rolled my eyes, not caring that she couldn't see me, and walked out of our apartment. The hallways were quiet except for the occasional scream of a small child playing in it's home. I missed those days when I was younger. I had to grow up way too quickly. But that is a story for another time.
I stood in the elevator and waited when my phone buzzed. The elevator doors opened as I grabbed my phone from my back pocket.
Calum: "hey just making sure we're still on. you know, even though you know... you said we would few hours ago..."
I scoffed lightly and walked out as I typed my reply to the weirdo celebrity that I somehow managed to get to hang out with.
Dani: "Calum, I'll be there in five minutes."
I rolled my eyes at his weird antics and rushed out of the lobby, into the warm California air. The arcade was just across the street so I waited for the cars to slow down before rushing across the street.
I walked inside the arcade and was over whelmed by the smell of coins and old style games. This arcade was mostly old style video games such as Pac Man and more. I looked around spotted the tall tan boy. I walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder.
He turned around and smiled, pulling me into a bone crushing hug like he had done when I first met him.
"So you wanna play games first or eat?" Calum asked me once he let go.
"Let's eat. I'm starving," I placed my hand on my stomach as it let out a growl, agreeing with my decision.
Calum chuckled and nodded, "I'm glad you said that. I'm starving too."
We walked over to the eat in area and climbed into a booth. "Okay I'm just going to break the ice here. What the hell made you so fascinated in me?"
Calum smirked before answering, "Well when I first met you, you had on black lipstick --something most girls wouldn't wear to a concert. FYI, when I hugged you, you got your lipstick printed on my white shirt, which is why I had to change."
Now that he had brought it up I remember seeing him on stage in a different shirt than what he was wearing when I had met him at the meet and greet. I nodded, "Is that all Robin Hood?"
"Robin Hood?" He raised his eyebrow.
"It just came to me. Don't judge you duck," I crossed my arms as a waitress dressed in cosplay walked up. "Love the Harley Quinn cosplay."
She smiled at me, not noticing Calum who looked down at the table, "Thanks. What can I get you two to drink."
"I'll have a water," Calum said changing his accent to sound American.
"Make that two waters," I smiled at her.
The waitress nodded her head, winking directly at me before walking off.
