“Calli, wake up! We’re going to leave you!” Nico shook my arm gently.
“5 more minutes!” I groaned. I threw him a pillow. He quickly moved away. He ran to the far end of the room and jumped on my bed.
“Ugh!” I whined “Fine! I’ll go to the shower.”
I ran to the shower and took a bath. I changed my clothes and got my backpack, bow and quiver.
“Nico, I’m done let’s go!” I said. I turned around and saw that he wasn’t there.
“Nico, this isn’t funny. I’m serious.”
Still no answer
As I began looking for him, he pushed me to the bed and started to tickle me.
“Hahahahahah! Nico stop it!” I giggled “hahahahahahaha please!”
“You have to say that Nico di Angelo is the coolest boy in the universe.”
“Never!”
He started to tickle me again. This time it was non-stop.
“Hahahahahah okay, okay” I gasped “Nico di Angelo is the coolest boy in the universe.”
After that he stopped tickling me. I found a book on the bedside table.
“What’s that?” He asked
“It’s a book, Ghost Boy”
“Don’t you have dyslexia?”
“It’s in Ancient Greek. I borrowed it from Annabeth since there’s nothing much here so it’s very boring.”
“And really scary.” He added. He pointed at the gigantic statue of my dad.
I nodded in agreement. It’s kind of frightening to have a statue of your dad in the middle of your room. That’s why I placed my bed on the far end of the room, covered by the huge curtains so that he doesn’t have to be the first thing I see when I wake up.
Then he noticed a picture of me and my mom.
“Is that your mom?” He pointed to a blonde haired woman in her late thirties with pale green eyes.
“Yeah, we weren’t so close before but I miss her so much.” My voice goes brittle.
“You look alike. You both have the same hair and nose.”
“So where’s your mom?” I say, trying to change the subject. But I immediately regretted my decision when Nico’s eyes saddened.
“She’s dead.” He said tonelessly, like he’s trying to hide his feelings. His eyes deceive him. Tears were slowly falling on his face.
“It’s okay.” I hugged him “I’m sure she’s happy where she is right now.”
“Thanks Calliste” He hugged me back.
Then someone opened the door. I looked over and saw that it was Grover. He took one look at me and Nico and his mouth forms a letter O.
“Percy, man you’ve got to see this.” He dragged Percy inside the room. Percy grinned.
“Grover, we were just hugging!” I glared at him and threw him a pillow.
“I know” I rolled my eyes.
“So…. Let’s go get Ella.” Nico said
We left my cabin and went to the Poseidon Cabin.
“You ready?” I asked her
