I woke up feeling happy and energized. Today was the day. I took a bath and changed my clothes. Then I went to the Demeter Cabin. There I met Katie Gardner.
“Hi Katie” I said “Can you do me a favor?”
“Hello!” She replied “Sure. What kind of flowers do you want?”
“Can I have hundreds of white roses at Zeus’ Cabin later?”
“Sure. What time?”
“Around 8 a.m.” I handed her a bag full of drachmas “You can have these.”
“Thanks”
“I have to go.” I said as I waved goodbye
I went to the Zeus’ Cabin and found Calliste sleeping happily. I got a paper and a pen and wrote a note. As I was about to leave when I bumped into someone, I crashed into an unfinished canvas painting.
“What in the name of Hades.” I said
I looked back and saw a dark haired guy in a pinstriped suit. Once he dusted off his suit. A two-foot-long cylinder of high-grade Celestial Bronze appeared on his side. “Oh Styx” I muttered as I racked my brain for something to say to Zeus.
“I am very sorry lord Zeus.” I bowed
He settled his gaze upon me. He gave a stare that made me want to go back to my cabin and hide under my blanket.
“You’re going to ask her out today right? Make sure you do it right Di Angelo.” He said sternly
I nodded nervously in fear
“She is the only daughter I have left and I don’t want her to be crestfallen and become a hunter like Thalia. If I find out that both of you have broken up and she runs to me crying, I will scorch your body in the flames of Hephaestus’s forge, wage war on Hades and all his allies, destroy all your loved ones and throw your charred body to the depths of Tartarus. Do you understand?” He said
“Yes sir” I answered
Then he vaporized into the air.
I quickly left the cabin and went to Percy’s cabin. Along the way there I saw Thanatos waiting for me outside Percy’s cabin.
“Thanatos, what brings you here?” I demanded
“Lord Hades wants to see you. You must leave now.” He spoke in a British accent.
“I will be there in awhile. First I have to do some errands.”
“You must hurry. You know your father’s temper.” He said as he melted into the shadows.
I hastily opened Percy’s door. I found him snuggling with Annabeth. I cleared my throat.
“Oh uh sorry” Annabeth leaped off the couch. Then she woke Percy “Percy, Nico wants to talk to you!!!”
“Oww!” He yelled “This better be good Di Angelo!”
“Um Perce can you do me a favor?”
“Fine” He said “What do you want me to do?”
“My dad wants me to go to the Underworld now. If I don’t come back in a couple of hours can you get me there?”
He looked like he was about to kill himself. But Annabeth gave him a glare that says if I see Calliste crying tonight because Nico isn’t here, you will be in big trouble Seaweed brain.
“Fine but this is the last time you will see me there.”
I thanked Percy and Annabeth. Then I remembered Annabeth told me yesterday she found the perfect gift for Calliste.
