I quickly opened the door. I saw Grover and Ella passed out while Calliste looked like she hadn't slept in days and had been crying. Their hands were all tied tightly but only Calliste's was bleeding. I went in the room and started cutting the rope tied to Calliste's hands. Then she looked at me like she was warning me about something that's going to happen. After that, two empousai charged at me. Percy ran into the room and stabbed one. It quickly dispersed into yellow sulphuric powder. The other empousa attacked Calliste maybe because she was unarmed. I ran to her and pierced the empousa in her arm. She shrilled in pain "You will pay for this demigod. She ignored Calliste and came after me. I stabbed my sword in her stomach and she quickly vaporized into dust.
"Great job!" Percy complimented and began cutting the tight rope that bound Grover's hands. I handed Calliste some nectar. She quickly drank it.
"Thanks" She whispered
Then I started to cute the rope from Ella's hands. When Ella and Grover woke up they were so shocked to see us that Grover kissed Percy on the cheek.
"Grover!!! I have a girlfriend!!! Percy said wiping the part of his face that Grover had kissed.
"I know man. It's just that I missed you so much!"
After a short conversation we left the room. Suddenly 10 extra large scorpions appeared. Calliste summoned lightning that killed some of them. Then she got tired and passed out on the spot. I carried her. Percy lunged at the remaining scorpions. He slashed their tails so that they couldn't attack us with venom. But even if they couldn't attack us with their venom they still had huge lobster like claws that could smash us in seconds. The scorpions were getting closer to us and Percy tossed Ella a knife.
"What's this for?" Ella asked
"Aren't you gonna help him?" Grover answered for Percy who was busy killing the scorpions.
One scorpion lunged at Ella. It was about to cut her head with its claws but Ella stabbed her knife in the monster's tough stomach. Fortunately the knife was sharp enough to kill it and the monster vaporized. Then she ran to help Percy who was attacking 2 scorpions. She tried to distract one from Percy.
"Hey lobster claws!!! You think you're better than me? Ella yelled
The scorpion quickly left Percy and lunged at Ella. She pierced the arm of the scorpion and she stabbed her knife in it's hard shelled chest.
"Go Ella!!!" Grover brofisted Ella
We reached the back entrance and took one last look at the place. We continued to walk until we found a nearby hotel. Grover went in first and asked the guy in the counter. "Room for 5 please." He said. The guy gave him keys and we went to the elevator. We reached the floor of the room. Grover quickly placed the keys in and opened the door. I placed Calliste in a bed. Percy and Grover decided to buy food and left me with Ella.
"Soo... what happened after you fell down the cliff?" I asked
"Unfortunately the cyclops survived the fall. Then he dragged us to some kind of huge scary mansion maze. There we met your crazy dad, Hades. He was going to kill Calliste but I volunteered to be imprisoned so they could be set free but Hades objected and the cyclopes knocked us out. When I woke up there you were." Ella said
Thankfully Percy and Grover arrived with food. I grabbed a cheese burger and quickly wolfed it down. At first they all stared at me but they followed me afterwards.
After eating Ella decided to take a bath since it's been two days since she had one. Percy and Grover started to talk about camp while I watched television. Then I slowly drifted to sleep. When I woke up the first thing I saw was Calliste's pretty face. She looks cute when she breathes. Thinking that she was asleep I decided to tell her how I feel.
"Calliste I have this feeling for you since the day we met. Every time you look at me I feel like melting into a puddle of sweat. I may not get to see you as often as I like, I may not get to hold you in my arms all through the night. But deep in my heart, I truly know, you’re the one that I love and I can’t let you go. I love you."
Then I saw Calliste's eyes opening. Shit she heard me I thought. Then her lips formed a smile."I love you too" she replied
I rubbed my eyes to see if I was hallucinating or not. She giggled.
Then her face got closer to mine. We were so close that I could see the colors of her eyes. It wasn't just ordinary blue. It had tiny specks of green and yellow on it. I could smell her vanilla scented breath coming closer to me. I was about to kiss her when a certain daughter of Poseidon interrupted me.
"Nico! It's about time! I've been betting on both of you for a month now." She said. Then she yelled at Grover who was peacefully sleeping "G Man you owe me 10 bucks I just saw a NicoListe moment. A what? I thought I was going to ask Ella but Percy announced something.
"Guys let's start moving." He said "We should arrive at Olympus tomorrow or the day after."
"Can we check on Camp Half Blood first?" Ella asked
Percy agreed. We placed a mirror near the light so we could form a rainbow. Then Calliste dropped a drachma.Then she said.
"Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering.Show me Tabitha Carandolet in Camp Half Blood."
