As you were having a mental celebration, a soft cough made you quickly turn around. The moment you did though, you immediatly felt Jade's arm quickly trying to salute , slapping you in the face.

Four figures were standing behind you, just awkwardly staring at the freak that wrecked the monster. They then started whispering to eachother.

'Why does that gem experiment speak?!' Said the pale slender figure.

'It seems to know you guys!', a little kid answered

'It wouldnt...it shouldnt....why?' the big buff gem started muttering.

'Ya think it wants to go get a pizza?' The short plump purple one finally said.

They then started arguing about what the purple gem said, until you decided to say something.

"Ehm....first of all, its 'we', not 'it', second, who are you guys?!"

Directly after speaking those words, Jade's arm slapped you in the face again, only this time, she seems to have done it on purpose.

"What was that for?!"

YOU DONT TALK THAT WAY TO THE SECOND AND THIRD IN COMMAND OF THE CRYSTAL GEMS! APOLOGISE!

'please, there's no need for that...could you please just introduce yourselves, and explain your....situation' the white gem muttered after a confused look

This time you dodged her terrible salute, making Jade slap thin air.

As i said before, I'm Jade Nr.3 , warrior of the northern gem division. It's a HUGE honour to meet you guys!

Are you going to talk to them, or propose? Just shut up.

"Ehehe....sorry about that. I'm (Y/N), a human. Nice to meet you guys. I'd give you a hand, but i'm using all my concentration to keep Jade from ripping off some limbs....."

The big figure, who, Jade quickly informed you, was named Garnet, looked at you in horror and disgust when she heard you were a human, and quickly left, tears streaming down her glasses, followed by the little boy, trying to comfort her.

"So, anyway, the rude one is Tourmaline, and the one you haven't heard is-"

My name isn't important.

"Yes it is, your as much a crystal gem as the rest of us."

Ugh....i-i'm not.

"Not what?"

I'M NOT A CRYSTAL GEM! I AM A HOMEWORLD SPY,OKAY?! i-i was caught and executed by the crystal gems....i never wanted it, but orders were orders......

You then realised that must be why she was so sad all the time. You then finally understood why Tourmaline was so silent these days.

"And you, Tourmaline?"

I.......I didn't even participate in the war. I was executioner on duty in a Homeworld base, and was executed myself for refusing to crack an ex-friend....

You sat down, and wrapped your own arms around their legs.

"You know, whoever you guys were before....does it really matter now? Isnt this a chance to start from scratch, with this new life? We may not have wanted this, and we may every once in a while prefer death over this constant state of half-life, but i just want you guys to know, no matter what....i think you're all pretty great."

You quickly swiped the tears from your eyes, stood up proudly, and turned towards the two crystal gems who watched the entire situation with great interest, both with tears in their eyes.

"It doesnt matter who we were, we are all of us, and thats all that matters. Now take it or leave it: can we join the crystal gems?"

'Well umm....have to ask Garnet 'bout that sort of stuff, right P?'

The white gem gave a teary-eyed chuckle.

'I don't think Garnet is going to mind, Amethyst'

'Allright! Now, about that pizza...'

As you followed the now arguing gems, you smiled, and knew that the others were doing the same.
