Quartet Of Misery {A Steven Universe reader insert}

You return to the temple, with a full stomach and a good mood. You made a friend, had some normal food for once, and even managed to get "your" gems to have fun.

When you return however, you see something is wrong. Terribly wrong. A big, orange woman stands by the ocean,holding garnet up by the throat.

Her hair is messy, she looks like a soaked wresteling champion with a helmet on, and worst of all, you see Steven is trying to run away while desperately trying to hold on to amethyst's and pearls gems and another blue one you don't recognise, and you can clearly see his left leg is broken.

You run towards Steven to help him, but he points towards the orange figure and says:

'Dont worry about me! Help Garnet get away from Jasper!'

You nod, and as you run towards Jasper, you can feel a familiar energy. You feel yourself getting bigger and stronger with each step you make, and with one powerfull smash, you slam the orange woman to the ground.

You quickly help Garnet stand up, while Azurite's buff slowly starts to fade.

Commander! Are you okay?!

Indeed. Are you feeling-

WHY ARE YOU GUYS TALKING IN THE MIDDLE OF-?!

At that moment, she's silenced by Jasper headbutting you, and you get sent flying back a bit.

'A halfling, a permafusion, a rogue Pearl, a misshaped Amethyst and now a fusion experiment? What is this, a joke?!'

She charges at you again, and you jump out of the way, summoning your weapon. You see her holding up Garnet by the throat again, run towards her, and try to become big again, but for some reason, nothing happens, causing you to just rush into Jasper at full speed. Luckily you are big enough to unbalance her, making her fall.

You try to smash her helmet with the mace side of your weapon. She rolls away, and charges at you again. You dodge her again while mentally trying to ask Azurite what went wrong with her buff.

I-i dont know! I guess this body makes it harder for me to concentrate on giving us power!

You ask her to try again, wich distracts you for a second, allowing Jasper to break two of your arms with a well-aimed punch.

You scream loudly, and slam your weapon down with the axe side, almost decapitating Jasper. She then trows you off of her and goes into a fighting stance, and you do to. You're about to rush into her again when suddenly you hear Garnet shouting.

'Stop! This fight has only one outcome, (y/n). Step back.'

She turns to Jasper.

'If you truly will keep your word, and will refrain from harming my friends....i will fuse with you.'

Jasper looks at Garnet with a devilish grin, and holds out her hand.

'I....promise.'

Suddenly, you feel your legs move against your will, push Garnet out of the way and take Jaspers hand with one of your own. She looks as surprised as you are, when suddenly you feel your mouth open.

Forget about that lame permafusion! Fuse with us!

We are surely ten times as strong as her!

And think about all the power you will receive when we fuse!

Who needs the power of love, when you can have the raw power of 4 gems!

Jaspers surprise quickly turned into another devious grin after hearing this new deal, and starts to spin you around, and your body dances as gracefully as it can, while you are mentally screaming at Jade and Tourmaline, asking if they became insane,but no aswer is heard.

After the dance, you can feel your body slowly becoming lighter, and the world becomes a calm and empty place of peace for a second....before hell breaks loose. You suddenly snap out of the world of white, back to the beach, and see Garnet staring at you in absolute horror. You felt your body twisting, breaking and healing again, filling you with agonising pain.

A few minutes of that torture later, it stops, and you collapse on the beach, so happy that it was all over...until the screams in your head started, and you listen in horror, as you start to touch the eye where your gem is located, while looking at a mortified Garnet, and then, you fully realised what just happened.

You didn't fuse with Jasper.

She became part of your body.
