Jane's P.O.V.
I follow Rigsby to the car, yet I claim the driver's seat. I take a hankerchief out of my pocket, and drive off. Rigsby, distracted with his seatbelt, doesn't see until he turns around.
"Hey, so- wait, WHY ARE YOU BLINDFOLDED?!" He practically yells.
"I'm going to drive alll the way to the university just by using your senses..." I announce, trying to listen to the tone of his vioce. I can tell by the squelches of the leather whenever he shifts in his seat. I can read him like a book. I spend the drive taking bold turns, clearly picking up on what he wants. "Here, think about which way I should turn...." I say.
He grumbles, annoyed, but seeminly interested. I finally arrive at our destination. "Is this it?"
"Yep. Here we are!" I rip off my blindfold. We're both silent for a minute.
"....Jane?" He asks.
"Yes, I know. This is a taco place."
"Ha, you messed up!" Rigsby laughs.
"I was focusing on what you want. It was difficult not to turn around and drive straight back to Van Pelt, but I knew that that wasn't in the direction of the college. Apparently, Rigsby, your love for tacos is showing." I note.
"I haven't had lunch," He responds, "And, no. I do not want Van Pelt."
"I can see right through you. Yes, you love Van Pelt, yes you're obvious about it, yes, half the building knows about you, and the other half know it too, but are pretending to ignore it for the sake of your relationship, which yes, we all think is adorable." I state.
"Can we just get to the stupid college now," He mutters. I pull out of the taco place, and head to Northern Coastal college. I pull up to the right building this time.
"I know exactly what to do," I tell RIgsby, already going over my plan in my head. I quickly head straight to Mr. Garcia's boss's office, only stopping to read the nameplate on the door. 'Mr. Angus Donovan'.
"Can I help you?" Donovan asks, as I barge into his office.
"Quick, tell me, what's your favorite color, and why?" I ask.
"I'd have to say- wait, I don't have to answer that!" He exclaims.
"So, tell me, were you angry when you found out that you were about to get fired, and your place be taken by Mr. Garcia?" I quickly shoot back.
"I-" He starts.
"We're with the police, and this is a murder investigation, so, you're going to have to answer his questions one way or another," Rigsby mentions from behind me, pulling back his jacket to reveal his badge.
"Oh, okay." He answers.
"That's not a very clear answer.." I quip.
"Where did you hear that I was going to get fired?" He asks.
"Oh, I overheard it when I was talking to your superiors." I idly say.
"Oh,well I you..." He stutters.
"That's all for now, you can reach us at the CBI headquarters." I hand him our card, and walk out the door, with a bemused Rigsby behind me.
"That was all made up wasn't it?" Rigsby assumes.
"Yes." I answer.
"Lisbon'll- you know what? I don't want to get involved. I had nothing to do with this." He decides. I just grin. We march back to the car in silence, and I let Rigsby drive. The ride back to the CBI was short, now that we didn't make any taco detours. While we're in the elevator back to our level, Rigsby turns to me.
"Does half the building really know about us?" He asks self-consciously.
"They even have clubs.....the 'Rigspelt Shippers' club.....the 'Rigspelt Forever' club.." I trail off.
"Rigspelt?" He scrunches up his eyebrows.
"It's your couple name. You even have one of those."
"Are there really clubs?"
"Cho's the caption of one of them I think...."
"Oh..well. Oh." He comprehends. I can see him mouthing Rigspelt to himself, clearly liking how it sounds. I should actually start a club. I grin at the thought, and the elevator doors slide open. Rigsby heads to the bullpen, but I stop in my tracks. I see Lisbon, yes, but who's she talking to? Is that...Sasha?!? Oh this should be fun.......
