Lisbon's P.O.V.

I wake up that morning to a light gleaming in my eyes. I blink the open, and see that it's from the windows that don't have blinds yet. Every muscle hurts from sleeping on the couch. Jane must have a back of steel if he's able to sleep on one every day.

I grab my stuff for work, stepping around the boxes.  I'm about to shut my door, when I see something gleaming in one of the boxes. I walk up to it, and pick up Jane's last present. I clip the bracelet around my wrist, shut and lock my door, and head to the outside world. I look around for my car, only to realize that it's still parked in the CBI parking lot. Crap. I pull out my phone and wonder who I should call. Grace is not a possibility. She'd ask to many questions about why I came home in someone else's car. She'll also assume things. Rigsby isn't a possibility either, mostly because he's probably asleep next to Grace. Cho could work, because he wouldn't ask any questions. Riding with him to work could be supremely awkward, though. That leaves Jane.  I don't especially want to ride with Jane, considering the fact that I spent half the night last night thinking about how good it felt when he held me in the car...while I embarrassingly sobbed into his shoulder. However I'm not in the mood for walking all the way to work, which is a lot farther now. I sigh, and dial Jane's number.

"My dear Lisbon, what brings you to call me at this lovely hour." He answers the phone.

"I don't have a car." I tell him.

I get no answer. "Jane? Jane? JANE?!"

"Yes...?" I hear him say. I look up and see his blue car pulling up in front of me. Of course. "Getting in?"

He reaches across the seat and opens the door. I get in, "Thanks."

"Anytime, my dear Lisbon."

"I feel bad for last night, again. I know I put you in an awkward spot, and that was very unprofessional of me. I should have at least made you a glass of wine or something at my house.." I trial off when I see the expression on his face.

"Oh, it was unprofessional, was it?" He's teasing me.

"Oh, shut up." I say, not in the mood for games. Losing the castle hurts. It reminds me that anything Jane could give me can be taken away. I quickly shut down that thought before it can start.

"What's wrong, Lisbon." He seriously says.

"Nothing."

"You said it was nothing last night, and it obviously wasn't."

"It's not that big of a deal this time, but I do have to deal with another meeting with Sasha today." I confess.

An expression goes across his face, like he wants to say something, but decides against it. "Aren't we busy with the stuff we found at Donavan's house?"

"Yes, that. I'm surprised you didn't see it coming. That Donovan and Cortez were having an affair. You can't say they weren't, we found pictures."

"Who says I didn't know?"

"Why did you accuse Donovan? He didn't hide the raft, and we have zero proof that murdered Garcia. Again, how does Evalyn play into all of this?"

"In order, I accused him because I knew he was a part in this, and I knew he had a secret. Yes, yes, and I'm going to let you figure that out on your own. "

"Screw you." I mutter. He smiles.

We pull up in front of the CBI building, and he parks his car in his usual spot .  I get out, and we go up to the bullpen. Cho comes and greets us. "We still have Cortez and Garcia. You want to question them?"

"Uh...no. Let them go. Put a trail on them, but let them go. We know that they'll refuse everything we say, even with the porny pictures at Donovan's house."

"What, Jane, no. We keep them here." I argue.

"Fine, but let me question them." He responds, walking towards Cortez's room. I open my mouth to protest, but I decide the smarter thing to do is to chase after him.

"-very stoic. You're not willing to give us anything." Jane's saying. I jump behind the glass, and pull up a chair.

"That's because there's nothing to give." He replies smoothly.

"Are you sure, because your friend over there, has been singing like a bird."

"I don't believe you." Cortez snaps, but the color went out of his face.

"No, I mean it. Your partner even told us about that secret room in his house, and the pictures..." Jane trails off. Cortez's face contorts with rage, and Jane walks out.

"Oh, so now we can let them go?" I question, sarcastically.

"Exactly."
