Sitting down to dinner that night with Tyler's family was hectic. Zack was pulling Madison's hair because apparently, she went into his room without permission. How dare she. Someone call the police. I internally laughed at my own joke. Mr. Joseph was attempting to pull Zack off Madison while Mrs. Joseph was calming Jay down. He was throwing a tantrum because his mom said he couldn't watch anymore T.V. until after dinner. It was a mess, but it beat the boring everyday of my family. Don't get me wrong. I still love them of course, but it was more fun at Tyler's.

Once everything settled down, we all sat to eat. Chris was an awesome cook. We all laughed and joked. It was the most peaceful I had felt in a really long time. Was it perfect? Hell no. But it was the closest to perfect that I had ever experienced.

When we were done, Tyler and I went up to his room. He got out his ukulele and started playing. He hummed Can't Help Falling in Love and I started singing along softly. "For I can't help falling in love with you." After finishing the song, he kissed the tip of my nose. "You know what you should do?"

"What's that?"

"You should teach me how to play the ukulele."

He seemed surprised. "It's not that simple. It takes years of practice."

"Good thing we have years for me to learn." We smiled at each other. "Right? You do still like me, don't you?" I instantly became extremely insecure, for no real reason.

He shut me up with a kiss. "Of course we have years." He proceeded to teach me the basics, like how to hold it and where to put your fingers on the strings, yada yada. Somehow, I managed to take hours just to grasp the very simplest of concepts. But Tyler never got frustrated or angry, he just patiently waited for me to get it before he taught the next thing.

I put my face in my hands. "Ugh, I'm so stupid. I'm sorry it's taking me so long. We can stop if you want."

He wiggled himself between my legs and my bent arms and looked up at me. "If you call yourself stupid again I will attack you with tickles unlike anything you've ever seen before."

I put my hands down and raised an eyebrow at him, "excuse me, was that a threat?"

"It wasn't a threat, baby," he winked mischievously, "it was a promise." I rolled my eyes at the way overused line, then he did exactly what he promised. He started tickling my sides, and I leaned back and laid on his bed, laughing uncontrollably.

In between laughs I said, "but I didn't even say it!" He stopped tickling me, but still sat on top of me. "Why are you still on me?"

"Just in case you get any ideas, I'm ready to start tickling again."

"Whatever you say." I yawned and realized how late it was. "Can we please save this for tomorrow? I'm exhausted." Probably because you just about tickled me to death.

"Then sleep. I'm not getting down."

"How am I supposed to sleep with you sitting on me? Besides, you need to sleep too. Neither of us can sleep like this."

"Oh, right. I hadn't thought that far ahead." He pondered the situation for a bit, then his face lit up as if he had a lightbulb over his head. "I will get off you, but you have to sleep in here, and I will be holding onto you all night."

"I suppose we have come to an agreement." We shook on it and he got down and laid next to me. He wrapped his arm around me. "Tyler, you forgot to shut the light off." He groaned and got back up to hit the light switch, then plopped back into his bed, and wrapped me in his arms again.

As promised, he didn't let go of me the whole night. We woke up from his alarm at 6:30, as it was, sadly, Monday. I dragged myself down the stairs and to my room. I got ready for school, and met Tyler back in the kitchen. "Morning, y/n," he called to me.

"Morning. Why do you always seem so awake? Even though you stayed up late?'

"I don't know, maybe I'm just a morning person."

"Well, I am not." He tossed an apple my way, and I caught it out of the air and took a bite. "Thanks." As I ate my apple, I checked all of my social media accounts. Nothing exciting, as usual. At 7:00, Tyler grabbed my arm and started pulling me out of the house, and in the direction of the school. "Leaving a bit early, aren't we?"

"Yup. We are going to the fort."

"Ooh, I forgot about the fort." I was excited to be going back, despite the fact that every time we went there, something bad happened. Be it getting in trouble with our parents of Tyler acting like a cocky douche. We happily strolled to the high school and past it to get to our spot in the forest. When we got there, I saw the entrance to it lit with string lights. "Tyler, what's this?"

"You'll see, just go in." He directed me through the small entry way and when I got in I saw string lights, similar to the ones decorating the entrance, laced on the wood that made the fort. On the giant tree in the center, there was a banner nailed up. It had f/c painted words that read, "Happy 6-month anniversary y/n!" I was amazed by how much time was obviously put into this. I felt tears welling in my eyes.

"Aw, Tyler." I was surprised he remembered. But, then again, Tyler remembered everything. I didn't think he'd even celebrate a 6-month anniversary, but I got him something anyway, risking looking really clingy. I remembered this gift and swung my bag in front of me and opened one of the zippers. I pulled out a simple red beanie. I put the beanie on Tyler's head and he smiled.

"And for the lady," he opened his bag and got his ukulele and handed it to me. I noticed that he signed it.

"Oh, now my gift looks crappy."

"No, no. I absolutely love it." He adjusted his beanie on his head and smiled brightly. I pulled him in closer and kissed his lips. "What did I ever do to deserve you?"

"Well, you asked if I wanted to walk with you and look here we are." As always, I had a sarcastic comment.

For a little bit, we stayed in the fort talking, but mostly kissing, until we heard the first bell ring in the distance. "Oh, shit!" We grabbed our stuff and started sprinting for the school. We sprinted through the empty halls to our first hour.

Just as we made it through our first hour door, we heard our teacher say, "where are Tyler and y/n?"

Out of breath, we both gasped "Here!" from the doorway. We got a lot of looks from the other students in the room. We casually went to our seats and sat down as if nothing happened.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

This chapter included so many bagels (read bae goals) parts that it was difficult to write without dying inside. It was a little shorter but I was rushed because it's like 1 a.m. and my mom has been yelling at me to go to bed for hours so ya. BAIIIII
