Friday morning came and went, and before I knew it, Tyler was already back from school. With Kylie. I rolled my eyes as I saw her twirling her hair while Tyler actually did work. I took out my phone and I had a text message.Gaige: Hey, y/n, I was wondering if you wanted to come over to work?
Y/n: I don't have anything better to do
Gaige: Cool my address is 392 W Vanslyke Blvd. (Just made that up just go with it)
Y/n: Alright be there soon
I grabbed my school stuff from my room and went to the front door. Just as I began to turn the doorknob, I heard someone behind me clear their throat. "Where are you going?" I turned around where Tyler was standing there with his arms crossed over his, unnecessarily, shirtless chest.
"I am going to Gaige's to work on the project. More important question: where is your shirt?"
"Irrelevant. Why can't Gaige just come here?"
"Don't ask so many questions." I kissed him goodbye. "I will be back soon." I left for Gaige's house, only a few blocks away. As I approached the large green house, I was slightly intimidated by its gloomy presence.
I rang the doorbell. Gaige opened the door and I saw he was wearing a Nirvana t-shirt and his hair was dripping wet. "Hey, y/n. Come in."
"Nice shirt." I complimented him as I walked through his front door. He looked down as if he forgot what shirt he was wearing.
"Oh, thanks. We can work in my room." He grabbed a backpack off of a table and led me to his bedroom. He took me to a huge room, fully decorated with different band posters. "Just sit somewhere on the bed." I awkwardly sat down and he sat next to me.
"So quiet here..."
"Yeah my parents are never home and I'm an only child so it gets rather quiet." We went to work on finding species related to meerkats. Because that was so fun. Just after 5 o'clock, my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"When are you coming home?" Tyler wasted no time getting to the important topics.
"Um, soon. I guess. Why, is everything okay?"
"It's fine. I just want you home."
"Okay I'll leave." We hung up and I grabbed my stuff.
"Leaving so soon?" Gaige teased.
"Sorry, Tyler wants me home."
"Oh I get it. See you later."
"See you." I left and headed back towards home. A few minutes into the walk, I see Tyler in front of me, walking towards me. "Tyler?" I called out to him and he jogged up to me. He hugged me around my waist and pulled me as close to him as possible. He crashed his lips against mine. "What's wrong? I haven't been gone very long."
"I don't think you should hang out with him alone."
"Awe, are you jealous?" I poked his chest.
"Maybe I am. Can you blame me though? I have the best girl in the world. I have to protect her." I blushed at what he said.
"You know I can take care of myself right?"
"But I want to take care of you. I can see how Gaige looks at you. It's the same look your sister said I had when we first met. He likes you." I tossed the statement aside.
"No he doesn't. You're just worried. You can trust me, he is no threat to you." Tyler kissed me again.
"Good. I didn't want to have to hurt the kid."
