H2O- Just Add Water Going Off Script

Sorry if the title is misleading. There is no Zane in this chapter, but there is some Zikkiness!

Emma and Cleo jumped out of the water, landing with a soft thump on the grass in front of Rikki's trailer. They took a few minutes to dry off, anxious the entire time.

As soon as they regained their legs, they ran up to the front door and rushed in. Rikki was sitting on the sofa, hanging her head.

Emma closed the door softly, and said, "Rikki? What's wrong?"

Rikki looked up at them, her eyes red and tear tracks running down her face. Wordlessly, she held up a small stick.

There was a tiny pink plus sign on it.

Cleo came to her senses first. She sat down next to Rikki and took her hand, while Emma took the other. Then Emma looked straight into Rikki's eyes and sternly said,

"Rikki, no matter what, we are going to help you. We're friends. More than that. We're family. You've got us."

Rikki looked at Cleo, who gave an encouraging smile and nodded. Sobbing, the three girls hugged, and stayed that way for a long long time.

The mermaids had called a meeting in Rikki's room. With her permission, the girls explained Rikki's condition to Lewis, who froze in shock.

"Tha-...That shouldn't be possible. I mean, how would that work?"

"Put it together dumbo. How are babies made?" Rikki snapped.

Lewis blushed, but recovered quickly. "Then you guys definately need to leave. Professionals doing an ultrasound is not an option, so I'll see what equipment I can find. The kid is half-mermaid, so it would give away the secret if you stayed."

Cleo said grimly, "Well then it's a good thing we're leaving tonight then, isn't it?

Emma turned to Lewis. "Do you think it'll be safe for Rikki to transform?"

Lewis nodded. "Should be safe this early on."

Emma jerked her head sharply. "Then we go ahead with the plan."

From downstairs they all heard the small click of a door shutting, followed by the sound of Terry's voice calling, "Rikki, sweetie? You home?"

"Go!" Rikki hissed, motioning for them to leave. The three looked at each other before propping a window open, and climbing out.

"Remember, tonight!" Emma reminded her, before dropping out of sight.
