A sudden noise alerted you. It sounded like screaming, so you immediately ran towards the source, coming from a tiny side-road attached to the main road you had taken so far, and as you approached it, the fog only thickened, but you soldiered on.
I-i have a bad feeling about this ...come on, i was right last time, so please just listen to me and let's leave while we can.
But didn't we also defeat the creature last time? I'm sure we can do it again if we just try!
The conversation was then halted when four figures came into view, three of them standing around the fourth, wich was laying on the ground, not moving. Yet when you approached them, the three standing figures vanished in the fog, leaving you with....
A dead body. You nearly puked when you saw the condition it was in. It was unrecognisable, and looked as if it had been bit and cut by a giant insect or hound. You looked away from the body, towards where you thought the three other figures had left to, and saw it. Silent city. You slowly crept towards the city as paranoia was envelopping you. As you walked into the city, the main street finally became slightly visible, and this time, someone, you didn't exactly know who, nor did it matter, made you puke. The street was lined with mangled corpses, all of them disfigured and slashed and cut in ways that would make any person afraid.
...t-this.....this is....
I told you guys. We....we should leave.
It was clear to you that the paranoia and fear wasn't only getting to you, as Tourmaline and Jade couldnt get much farther then stuttering that, and Azurite just softly wept. You were just glad this was a solo mission and no one else was here to have to witness this. Especially Steven or Connie.
You were actually tempted to listen to Tourmaline for once, seriously not wanting to deal with this and whatever caused it, until you heard a small sound coming from a nearby house. You hesitantly walked inside, only to reveal.....nothing. It was a simple one-room house, wich looked more like a shack. The only thing inside was a pretty giant statue of what appeared to be your very own gem. As you wondered how the heck that got there, Jade's arm suddenly lunged out and pressed a small part of it that was unnoticeably thicker then the rest, and also a secret switch apparently, wich made the statue seemingly vanish, revealing a dark, giant hole.
How the h-heck did you do that?!
I-i used t-to build s-statues before joining the rebels...you'd be surprised how many times i've been asked for something like that. It's a simple thing to make it vanish like that.
They were both still very shaken from what was going on outside, yet when Jade started talking about a special job she had to do for an Onyx once, namely craft a bookcase wich would lead towards a secret tunnel, Tourmaline had her old snoody tone back, and Azurite stopped weeping pretty quickly. It was nice to see Jade comforting the rest like that.
Yet you still had to descend into the pit, and as you did, the statue re-appeared above you, making Azurite shriek a little. And while Jade tried to comfort her, you walked down the long hallway on touch, until you came across a small room that was lighted. Three other halls were conected to said room, and they were to dark to clearly make out what was going on in them. Yet suddenly, a small cry for help came from your left, and you followed it.
As you walked inside the new hallway, you managed to spot lighting up ahead. Green lights. You wanted to go away right there and then, yet another cry for help, this time a lot louder, came from a bit further down there, so you simply had to go. After going into the green light, and passing trough the door you found there, you were greeted with a familiar sight. A lab. A green, shining lab that was exactly the same as you remembered it, except for one small detail. You weren't the one strapped into the machine this time. The one trapped inside it this time was another human, who'se arm had been cleanly cut off. You immediatly opened the contraption to let him out, yet suddenly he grabbed his arm, screaming in pain as a white light envelopped it. Yet instead of the gem part you were expecting it to be, a long, slender green insect leg erupted from it instead.
W-what on homeworld happened?!
...it looks like....corruption is retained even after shattering...
this is starting to get more sickening with the minute....
You immediately tried to help the man, yet suddenly he stopped holding his arm, but held his head instead as you watched what you could only call madness flowing into his eyes, as he screamed louder and more animal-like then you thought was humanly possible. Then suddenly, he stopped. He looked over to you, and as you watched him mentally snapping, he tried to jump at you, with an angry feral cry for blood. You immediately slapped it away, before running, afraid beyond belief. When you reached the lighted room again, you didn't think and rushed into the nearest hallway and kept running and running, finally seeing a light. You rushed towards it, only to find something even worse.
You were in what appeared to be a giant throne room, wich was littered with the corrupted human hybrids, yet these were not attempting to harm you in any way, and were dressed up as butlers and maids. At the front of the room were two giant thrones, made out of solid gold. The largest was empty, yet in the smaller one sat a green figure. An insane, smiling green figure, who immediately looked up with what could only ne described as a squeel of mad delight as she jumped up from her seating position where she was watching what seemed to be a romantic series about a pink-haired girl on a smartphone. It would explain why she was looking so full of emotion at you. You'd wonder more about how she even knew about the internet, if only you werent so terrified right now.
"O-oh! You weren't supposed to find your little present here already! Though i appreciate you wanting to visit me...."
W-what the heck is all this....
"Well, since you spoiled it already, i might as well tell you...it's your wedding gift for later! I realised how selfish it was of me to try to take away earth from my one true love, so i decided to recreate earth as our own little paradise! And then we could be its rulers , ruling while...."
H-hey, ehm...wouldn't the diamonds reaaaaly not like that? Tourmaline said in a feeble attempt to get the insane gem to stop her mad rant.
"The diamonds? Oh, i'm not going back to THEM! i just wanna stay here with you, silly! Just you....me...and our servants forever....wouldn't that be lovely?!" The romantic movies she watched appearently had down a great number on her, as all the authority she still had when you last saw her had simply vanished from her eyes and personality, again as if she were a completely different gem.
Well....we're not staying with you!
Yeah! Your completely insane! Why would we?!
T-they are right! You cannot have us!
Her face then slowly turned into a large scowl, as she nearly growled at you.
"Oh, i get it...you lesser parts of my creation simply want to be in control, don't you? You want to TAKE OVER MY LOVER AND LOVE THEM INSTEAD OF ME, DO YOU?! Well, my dearest (y/n) ...don't worry. I'll simply remove those pesky personalities from you the next time we meet. Don't listen to their lies...you want me to, i KNOW IT! I'll cure you from their lies... until next time when i'm ready, my magnum opus!"
And with that, she snapped her fingers and you felt something extremely powerful hit your head. As you blacked out, the last thing you thought was how she knew your name. And when you woke up, it was all gone. And so you sat there, afraid and confused.
Hiya, here i am again, hope you had your spooks for the day. And if you didn't, please tell me, as i really want to know if i should try my hand at an original horror story with experiments like this. Also, i put some random references in this story. If you can tell me ONE of them that you believe is in there. And i mean ONE, please not more. Then i will try to give you either a shout-out or a mention in the story, as i want to try to do something like this as a way to say 'thank you', for the insane support and love. Have a spooky and nice day!
