Awaking that next morning was bliss. The crisp sunlight seeping through the blinds of a real, not broken window, hitting my face and gently waking me up from the best sleep I've had in long time was magnificent. I sighed with a smile as I sat up from my (f/c) canopy bed that had real gold tassels hanging from the curtains.
Preston, dad, opened my bedroom door, "I'm so sorry that your mother and I have been treating you poorly, you don't deserve that..."
I frowned and hugged a soft plush pillow upon the bed into my chest, squeezing it tightly in a hug. "If only this were real. It's clearly not though."
"Well then, Billie must've wanted you to have a good dream." My dad said, his once kind voice changing tone. It became a raspy and robotic sound, making my ears bleed by it's speech.
I grabbed the pillow tucked under my chin and quickly placed it over my ears, muffling the noise. "Shut up!" I screamed over my father's shrieking tone.
And then the lights went out on my dream.
**
I shot awake, the fear of my dream mixed with the pain from last night.
My mouth felt numb and my foot began to ache, each nerve exploding with pain and shards of glass numbing a different section of my leg. I swerved my body off my bed and outstretched my leg left on the mattress.
I began to pulled shards out of my leg, wincing at each one when it was removed from my skin.
After I finished, I hobbled over to a picture covered by a tablecloth. I ripped a shred of the cloth off and wound it around my leg tightly, applying pressure.
With my bandaged leg and all, I calmly headed downstairs and went straight for the sewing room. I headed in and observed the room.
Several tables were laid out and piles of different patterned and colored cloth were stacked beside simple table lamps that had cords to pull to turn them on. I sat at the closest table and began to rifle through the measurements to find the ticket for Pacifica's dress.
As I finally find the ticket, the doors burst open. "(Y/n)! There you are! Are you going to get my dress?" Pacifica asked making her way over to my table. I nodded. She was dressed as usual, in her purple jacket and lighter purple dress with black leggings and creme boots underneath, her look hasn't changed at all.
"Good. Now listen up, I want something along with my gown and I'm thinking of a matching crystal choker to top off my outfit for the night and it better be a REAL crystal. Okay? That shouldn't be too hard to get, even for someone like you."
She turned and left the room, giving me no chance to answer, especially when my answer would've been; No.
I sighed and thought about this...How bad did she really need the choker? And where would I find a real crystal?
I could fake it with a piece of glass!
But Pacifica wears so much jewelry that she knows how and what a crystal of any kind looks.
There are crystals in the forest left for you to find...alone...
I immediately ducked under the table. "Who's there!?!?" I yelled in an empty room. Nothing made a move. Everything laid perfectly still.
"Hello!" I yelled, again. Nothing, again. I came out from under the table and saw there was no one actually in the room.
I headed to my room and change for the trip to receive Pacifica's dress. It's the first time I have been outside the Northwest walls in a long time, I'm usually locked away... so no one knows that a Northwest that isn't perfect does exist.
I pulled on a plain black t-shirt and (f/c) shorts. I leave my hair down but grab an old brush with some bristles missing and use it to brush my hair as best as possibly can.
I headed out of my room and darted for the front gate. Passing through the grand dining room and the long, long, long stairs to the main hall, I pulled the lever to open the gates and rushed outside.
With all the randomness inside of me and the excitement of going outside for the first time in a long time, I yelled as I ran down the long path into Gravity Falls, "To the Gravity Falls Laundromat!"
