As I headed back up the hill to The Northwest Manor, I took an intake of the hat and enjoyed the scent of pine. I placed the hat on my head and giggled, Dipping Sauce wasn't to bad of a guy, as far as I could tell.

I knocked on the grand gate for it to open, As I hear gears wind and the gate inches apart Pacifica is on the other end, standing in the doorway of the front door.

I held out my left arm, the dress was hung over it, the plastic coat of protection had a bit of dirt but otherwise perfectly fine, keeping the dress safe. "The dress?" Pacifica smiled before taking it from me. I nodded and smiled as she ripped off the plastic and held the dress out, she frowned as we both walked inside.

"What's wrong?" I asked as she went for her room and I followed. "It's
the wrong shade of pink!" She cried throwing herself on the bed. She let the dress fall to the floor and began to sob into a pillow of hers.

I picked up the dress and looked at it.

It was a satin pink dress with purple shoulder sleeves and a similar purple rim at the bottom of the gown, and a satin purple-pink bow that was tied around the waist. She had plan to wear lighter pinkish high heel shoes with a diamond on the inside of each heel. I looked it up and down, "What's wrong with it? It still looks beautiful."

Pacifica sat up on her bed and wiped her eyes, "Do you know what would make the dress even more beautiful?"

"What?"

"The matching crystal choker, of course! Did you get it yet?"

I bit my lip, "Not yet but-"

"Well you better hurry up! The stores will soon be filled with all the commoners trying to get their outfits!"

She ushered me out the door, down the steps, out the door, and back outside the gate my sore leg and all. "Don't bother coming back without one, I mean it!"

"I love you too Pac!"

As I walked the smell of pine filled my nose once again. I remembered the hat still on my head. I made my way straight towards the Laundromat again. "Hey Ariel! I'm back!" I called walking in. No response. " I was wondering if you knew where a boy named Dipping S... I mean a girl named Mabel might live!" No reply.

"I'd ask my family but-

They don't care.

It was the voice! That dang voice!

"Listen whatever is going on, I want it to stop!"

But I'll help you dear (Y/n)...

"Help me?" I asked, not truly realizing that I was talking aloud in a Laundromat to a voice in my head.

Yes. You need help... You need to be known, you need to find Dipping Sauce, You need my help...

"I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP!!!" I exploded with anger, This dumb voice!

"If you don't need my help, then why bother coming here?" Ariel said, appearing by the counter. She was wiping a rag across the desk, making it shine."Ariel! I actually do need your help! Do you know where the girl named Mabel lives? Also do you know where to get crystals?" I asked, clasping my hands together in a plea.

"Crystals? Nope. Sorry. But Mabel? As in Mabel Pines? Yea, She lives right past the game store, down the street to the right and head to the clearing, she lives in the Mystery Shack." Ariel said throwing the rag over her shoulder and pointing me off in a direction. "Okay! Bye Ariel!" I waved again that day. "If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here." I smiled and nodded on my way out.

I followed her directions and soon found myself standing in front of the Mystery Shack. I stepped on the porch and knocked loudly on the door. Mabel opened it up and squealed, her face breaking into a grin. "Dipper! The girl from the Laundromat is back!!!" She yelled, disappearing into the house. Her presence was soon replaced by Dipping Sauce.

"Oh, H-hey. It actually is you, I thought Mabel was just pulling my leg." He chuckled as I pulled his hat off my head. "You dropped this back at the Laundromat." I said, placing it in his hands. His expression changed quickly as he looked down, "What happened to your leg!" The cloth I had wound around it was already loosening and very bloody. "Oh, that. That's nothing, it'll heal soon." I laughed it off. Dipping Sauce? He didn't even chuckle.

"Come inside, let me fix you up." He offered his eyes not leaving my leg.

"No thank you. One, I shouldn't go into a stranger's house. Two, I can't bother you, it'll heal on it's own."

Dip sighed. He scratched the back of his neck and frowned. "Listen, you brought my hat back, it's the least I could do. We don't even have to go inside, we... we can do it right here!" He claimed placing his hat on. He ushered me into a rocking chair and hurried inside for disinfectant and new bandages. I sat down and waited. An old man with a stained white tank top and striped boxers shuffled out to take a seat in most likely the chair that I was currently sitting in.

"Kids! Who is this in my chair and what's she doing?" He yelled into the house. He scratched his back and groaned to me, "Come back tomorrow, then you can spend your money."

Luckily before I had to speak Dipping Sauce came back. "G-grunkle Stan! What are you doing out here?"

"Trying to sit in my seat, Dip. What is she doing?"

"This is..."

"(Y/n)."

"(Y/n). I'm fixing her leg. That's all."

"Okay then." 'Grunkle Stan' padded away back into the house in his slippers. "I'll try to make this quick and painless." He whispered to me, unraveling my bandage. Dip took his spot across from me in a stool and stretched my leg out, laying it to rest on his thigh. He swabbed disinfectant over all of my cuts and wrapped my leg nicely back up in the new bandage.

"Should be much better tomorrow."

"Thanks so much Dip! This will make the hunt tomorrow easier."

"The hunt?"

"For a crystal, I have to make a crystal choker for my sister and I don't know where to find any."

"I know where crystals are. If you come back here, around maybe lunchtime, I can help you find some." He said, scratching his neck. "I'll be here Dipping Sauce!" I said standing and walking off. "Tell Mabel I said 'Hi'!" I waved bye. I headed back towards home until I remembered that I couldn't come back without the choker. So for the third time that day I walked to The Laundromat.
