He nods. "If that's alright, I'd rather not go home tonight."
Abby squeals. "SLEEPOVER!!!"
Cas raises an eyebrow. "Why? Is your father having trouble with other elven cities again?"
My eyes widen. Elf?! It suddenly hits me, and I tense. That's why he looked doubtful....that's how he immediately knew what I am...
Cas suddenly frowns. "But..." She sighs. "We don't have enough guest rooms...Phe was going to sleep in the master....we only have one extra guest room." She looks at Jack and Austin.
Abby suddenly smirks and her eyes fall prey on Austin and I. "Well since Jack so kindly predicted these two becoming a thing....why don't they share a room?..."
My eyes widen again. "EXCUSE ME?!"
Austin looks disturbed as well.
Abby shrugs. "Well, I need my own room. I kick in my sleep. And that means Cas is on her own." She points to Jack and Austin. "These two aren't the best of friends yet so they can't share a room, so why not Austin and Phe?!" She finally grins.
"Because he's a guy!" I say, making a wide gesture to Austin. "The only time a girl would sleep with a guy would be when they're dating or something!"
She grins. "Well Jack said-"
"He's wrong," I say flatly, interrupting her.
Cas sighs and looks at me. "Please Phe?...you guys don't have to touch each other, the bed in that room is pretty big and there's plenty of blankets."
I only pay attention to the first part, ignoring the second. I've never slept with a blanket after what happened and I could never afford one. My hoodie kept me warm, and like any other person that can bend flames, I was able to warm myself up enough to stop from freezing to death.
That's when I realize they're all looking at me again. "Yes?..." I raise an eyebrow.
Abby smirks. "Then that's settled!" She claps her hands together as Austin sighs.
I look confused. "NO! That's not what I said yes to! Wait what do you mean?!"
She smirks. "You just agreed to share a room with him!" My eyes widen.
"But I-"
"No buts!" She interrupts, smirking and Austin rolls his eyes.
I sigh and I finally nod, giving up on arguing and I stare at my cocoa in my hands, not saying anything else as Abby, Cas, and Jack starts chatting. I tune them out, listening to the voice in my head.
Sharing a room huh? I can almost feel his smirk, and his tone is teasing and smug.
It doesn't mean anything...I don't know why everyone is making such a big deal out of it.
Well like you said, guys don't sleep with girls unless they're dating...
You and I both know that's incorrect.
He laughs. Oh yes....remember that one night with that phantom girl? She was so-
STOP! I already had to listen to it once...please don't scare me again.
He grins, I know it and retreats back into his own secluded corner in my mind, to do who knows what. I sigh and stand. "I'm going to lay down..." I mumble and I walk off. When I reach the room I glance around, seeing it for the first time.
The walls are a light cream color, and there's simple furniture. A dresser, two nightstands, one on either side of the bed, a door leading off to a bathroom most likely, a window that's currently covered by curtains, and a bookshelf in the corner with a few books, but not a lot. I smile slightly at how welcoming it is before I walk over to the corner and I press my back against the wall, sinking down onto the floor.
