-Phe-

I yawn as I slowly sit up, and I blink.

I thought I fell asleep in the corner...

You did.

I glance over to see Austin still asleep. Is he the one who moved me? Most likely. I watch him for a moment. He didn't get under the covers, which is understandable, and I can tell he fell asleep staring at the ceiling. One hand is resting behind his head and buried in his tousled brown hair, the other on his stomach as his chest rises at a peaceful pace, his breathing steady and the cloth of the shirt that he rests his hand on thin and soft-looking. It's different to see him so calm, not as hostile.

He saw me asleep as well.

You act as if the world is ending.

Oh, quit the sarcasm already.

I can't heeeaarrrr yooouuuu.

I purse my lips as I slowly stand, and I walk out. It's a Monday...which means...school. I hesitate, my hand on the wall before I walk into the living room. I see Cas, and Jack, but no Abby. Cas looks up and smiles. "Morning Phe, sleep well?..."

I nod. "Yeah...thanks, Cas. Where's Abby?"

"Oh! Abby's on the swim team, and they had morning practice today. She left about 20 minutes ago." I nod slowly

Jack looks up and grins. "So how was it?"

I blink, slightly confused. "How was what?"

"Did you and Austin do...anything?" He teases, wiggling his eyebrows and my eyes widen. My cheeks heat up, but my eyes narrow as I glare at him, shaking my head fiercely. He laughs and looks back down at his book. I stick my tongue out at him, too tired to sass him back and I walk into the kitchen, getting myself breakfast.  I'm a little surprised Abby is on the swim team,  and I make a mental note to ask her why later. I would assume if she was into sports, she would pick something that doesn't include water. From what Austin told me yesterday, I can assume that Abby uses flames...so any contact with water would dampen her powers, deactivate them if she was drenched, right?

I'm just finishing eating when Austin walks out, his eyes halfway open and he still looks sleepy. "Morning...." He mumbles to us, running a hand through his hair and tousling it.

Ooooooo...

"Morning sleeping beauty," Jack smirks at Austin as he says this. Austin blinks as if processing this before rolling his eyes and flipping him off.

I choke on my bite of cereal and I cough for a moment, gasping for air, as I had laughed just as I swallowed. Jack turns and gives me a funny look, and I just stick my tongue out at him before walking into the kitchen to put my dish on the counter.

We're all walking out the door at 7:10, and Austin stays near the back shyly, as if unsure if he should go. I grin and I grab his elbow, yanking him down the porch steps. "Don't be such a wuss!" I smirk as I let go and I start walking beside Cas.

"Have fun!!!!" Jack shouts after us, as he's not enrolled or anything. Cas said she was able to get Austin enrolled yesterday, with the help of Abby and their grandfather. Whoever that may be. He seems pretty important to Abby and Cas, though, since he helps them with everything.

We reach the school in under 20 minutes, and I hesitate at the steps.

"What was that about being a wuss?..." Austin raises an eyebrow as he walks past me, starting up the steps after Cas. I frown at the ground before I follow him, tugging my hood up. We walk in and Cas walks off to the right, saying she needed to drop off a book at the library before class.
